  • Publication number: 20040082454
Abstract: A method and machine for sealing a heat sealable material includes the capability to dispense a desired length of the heat sealable material, automatically select a heating time based on one or more sealing parameters, and apply heat to a portion of the heat sealable material according to a sealing routine that utilizes the automatically selected heating time.

  • Patent number: 6467888
Abstract: An intelligent fluid delivery system and method for controlling fluid delivery and monitoring parameters of fluid usage in a fluid jet printing system. The intelligent fluid delivery system (IFDS) includes the controls and electronic of the base station and fluid bottle. The replaceable base station, or nest, includes a micro-controller, independent of the main controller of the main printing system, for controlling fluid delivery and fluid management. The intelligent fluid delivery system provides a detection mechanism so that it can be ascertained with near certainty that an inserted fluid bottle is an appropriate fluid bottle having a fluid media that is compatible with the fluid jet printing system (e.g., within the specifications of the printing system and suitable for use with the other components of the ink jet printing system).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 21, 2001
Date of Patent: October 22, 2002
    Assignee: Illinois Tool Works Inc.

  • Patent number: 4919649
Abstract: A fluid delivery system is provided with a disposable delivery set which includes an inlet tube, an outlet tube and a column tube connected to a syringe. A motor set is arranged to operate the syringe while sensing the level of fluid in the column tube, whereby the syringe may be reciprocated to provide incremental volumes of fluid to a patient.
