  • Patent number: 6938775
Abstract: A battery pack suitable for use with button cell batteries. The battery pack includes a flexible card and a cover rotatably fixed relative to said flexible card. A backing is interposed between the card and said cover, and fixed relative to said card. The backing and cover define an enclosed space interposed between the cover and the backing for receiving batteries. Batteries disposed in the space are enclosed by the cover and backing. An air access channel formed in the backing diffuses air to the batteries.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 8, 2003
Date of Patent: September 6, 2005
    Assignee: Rovcal, Inc.
Inventors: Robert C. Gaffney, Rodney S. McKenzie, Marc L. Syvertsen, Jeffrey W. Schmoeger, Michael J. Johnstone, Robert G. Reidl, Jeffrey A. Poirier, Robert G. LaMasney, Ross J. Mack

  • Patent number: 5532117
Abstract: The invention provides a multicolor negative photographic element which contains a layer containing a yellow or orange-yellow azoaniline dye of structure I ##STR1## wherein: R.sub.1 is an alkyl group or a phenyl group;R.sub.2 is hydrogen or an alkyl group;R.sub.3 is an alkoxy, aryloxy or alkyl group when R.sub.2 is hydrogen, or is hydrogen when R.sub.2 is an alkyl group;R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 or R.sub.1 and R.sub.3 may join to form a ring;R.sub.4, which may be in the para or meta position relative to the azo group, is an electron-withdrawing group selected from the group consisting of trifluoromethyl, cyano, halogen, and from alkoxycarbonyl, aryloxycarbonyl, acyloxy, carbonamido, sulfonamido, carbamoyl, sulfamoyl, alkylsulfonyl, arylsulfonyl, sulfonyloxy (--OSO.sub.3 R), alkoxysulfonyl, aryloxysulfonyl, and sulfoxide groups;R.sub.5 is hydrogen or, can be a chlorine in the meta position when R.sub.4 is a chlorine in the para position; andthe total number of carbon atoms in R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, and R.sub.

  • Patent number: 5190851
Abstract: A color photographic silver halide negative working duplicating element comprising a support having thereon at least one red-sensitive photographic silver halide emulsion layer comprising at least one cyan image-dye forming coupler; at least one green-sensitive photographic silver halide emulsion layer comprising at least one magenta image-dye forming coupler; and, at least one blue-sensitive photographic silver halide emulsion layer comprising at least one yellow image-dye forming coupler, provides improved images when (a) at least one of the layers comprises a unit of at least two layers including a first layer and a second layer, the first layer having a higher photosensitivity than the second layers and being farther from the support than the second layers; (b) the first layers contain an image-dye forming coupler in an amount insufficient to react with all the oxidized developer formed during development after maximum exposure; (c) the image-dye forming couplers of the first layers being in a dispersion
