  • Patent number: 8696277
Abstract: A machine includes a threaded fastener connected to, and positioned adjacent, a maintenance feature. A removable cover blocks access to the maintenance feature and includes a captive fastener assembly. The captive fastener assembly includes a barrel with an internal passage separating a tool opening from a fastener opening, and the internal passage is divided into a cage volume and a fastener passage by an internal thrust surface. A retention component that defines a tool passage through a capture surface is mechanically mounted in the barrel adjacent a tool opening. A captured fastener is trapped to move between the capture surface and the internal thrust surface in the cage volume. The captured fastener includes an internal tool engagement surface oriented toward the tool opening and threads oriented toward the fastener opening.

  • Publication number: 20140030062
Abstract: A method for temporarily sealing a turbocharger compressor outlet and the seal for doing same are disclosed. The seal may include a layer of lubricant, a cover, and a layer of heat-shrink material. The seal creates a temporary water-tight seal around a turbocharger compressor outlet preventing damage to the inside of the turbocharger while the turbocharger is not in use.

  • Patent number: 8490551
Abstract: A portable convertible ice cooled serving table comprised of two sections is foldable for carrying by a handle. The legs may be folded against the sections. Transparent covers to protect the food from insects and to keep atmospheric heat away from the food and cooling medium are removeably pivotally mountable to the sections when erected and are storable within the folded table, including handles thereon, for transport and storage. The two sections are pivotally openable to form a table and conveniently secured in table position wherein the bases of the two sections are in the same plane. The legs are also provided with easily insertable and releasable braces which are pivotally mounted to the bases of the sections. The sections may be preferably made of insulative material.

  • Patent number: 8215960
Abstract: Water and aqueous sodium hypochlorite indicating endodontic monitoring devices include a cone-shaped water absorptive material and color changing system applied thereto that selectively changes to different colors when exposed to either water or aqueous sodium hypochlorite within a root canal chamber. The devices include a pH changing material, pH indicator, and pH insensitive dye. The dye imparts an initial color when the device is dry. The pH changing material and pH indicator react with water to yield a second color. In the presence of aqueous sodium hypochlorite, the device changes to a third color different from the initial color and second color as a result of bleaching the dye and/or pH indicator. Color changing devices are manufactured by applying an aqueous solution that includes a pH changing material and dye to a water absorptive cone, drying the cone, applying an anhydrous pH indicator solution, and then drying the cone again.

  • Publication number: 20080070194
Abstract: Water and aqueous sodium hypochlorite indicating endodontic monitoring devices include an endodontic cone formed of a water absorptive material and a color changing system applied to the water absorptive material that selectively changes to different colors when exposed to either water or aqueous sodium hypochlorite within a root canal chamber. The water-indicating endodontic points include a pH changing material, a pH indicator, and a pH insensitive dye. The dye imparts an initial color when the device is in a dry condition. The pH changing material and pH indicator react in the presence of moisture found in a root canal to yield a second color that differs from the initial color. In the presence of aqueous sodium hypochlorite, the device changes to a third color different from both the initial color and the second color as a result of bleaching of the dye and/or pH indicator by the hypochlorite ions or aqueous analogs.

  • Patent number: 5392446
Abstract: A signal processor architecture that comprises a data network having multiple ports, a control bus, and a plurality of signal processing clusters connected to at least two ports and the control bus. Each signal processing cluster comprises a system control processor connected to the control bus, a second control bus, and a global bulk memory having multiple ports. A plurality of functional processing elements are connected to the system control processor by way of the second control bus, and each are connected to a port of the global bulk memory. The global bulk memory comprises a subdata flow network having multiple gateways and full crossbar interconnectivity between each of the multiple gateways.
