    Abstract: The invention includes methods and apparatus for providing a benefit to a player in return for the player agreeing to have a portion of at least one anticipated future winning outcome appropriated during play of a wagering game. In an embodiment, the method includes providing an offer for a benefit to a player in exchange for entering into an agreement to appropriate a portion of at least one future winning outcome of a wagering game, and providing the benefit if the player accepts the agreement. In some embodiments, the method may also include determining that a player of a wagering game entered into the agreement, and appropriating a portion of the value of at least one winning outcome in accordance with at least one condition of the agreement.

    Abstract: Described are methods, systems and apparatus for providing an enhanced lottery payout to players who redeem winning lottery entries in accordance with predefined conditions. In an embodiment, the method includes receiving a request to redeem a lottery entry, determining that the lottery entry is a winning entry, determining a time associated with the request to redeem, and determining which one of a first payout or a second payout to authorize. The determination is made based on whether the time associated with the request to redeem is greater than a predetermined value. In some embodiments, the second payout is authorized if the time associated with the request to redeem is not greater than the predetermined value.
