  • Patent number: 10039880
Abstract: A dispense interface for use with a drug delivery device. The dispense interface comprises a main outer body and an inner body. The inner body may be configured for connection to a drug delivery device and defines a first reservoir and a second reservoir. A first piercing needle is in fluid communication with the first reservoir and positioned for piercing a first cartridge of a drug delivery device. A second piercing needle is provided and in fluid communication with the second reservoir and positioned for piercing a second cartridge contained with a drug delivery device. A manifold is positioned adjacent the inner body and comprises a fluid groove arrangement. A valve arrangement is positioned between the inner body and the manifold and controls fluid communication of a first fluid contained in the first cartridge and a second fluid contained in the second cartridge by way of the fluid groove arrangement to a holding chamber.

  • Patent number: 9962500
Abstract: The invention faces the technical problem of providing a tight connection between a tube and an dispense interface, while at the same time the biocompatibility of the connection can be improved. The technical problem is solved by an apparatus comprising a tube configured to guide a medium and a dispense interface. The tube comprises a first opening and a second opening, while the dispense interface comprises a recess. The recess has a first opening and a second opening and the tube is at least in part inserted into the recess. The tube is permanently affixed to the dispense interface by a combination of an interference fit and an adhesive, such that the interference fit prevents the adhesive from contaminating the medium.

  • Publication number: 20070117157
Abstract: Novel parathyroid hormone polypeptides and biologically active fragments thereof are disclosed along with nucleic acid molecules encoding same. In particular, parathyroid hormone polypeptides and biologically active fragments (and encoding nucleic acid molecules) derived from fish species (eg Japanese pufferfish (Fugu rubripes)) are disclosed. Such polypeptides and fragments may be used for treatment of diseases associated with abnormal calcium homeostasis (eg osteoporosis, osteopenia, Paget's disease, bone cancer, hyperparathyroidism, hypoparathyroidism, hypercalcemia, psoriasis and other skin-related conditions).
