  • Patent number: 7624876
Abstract: The present invention provides a packaging assembly for shipping and displaying a plurality of products. The packaging assembly includes a display stand and a plurality of display packs, each configured to hold one or more products. The display stand includes a base panel and left and right side panels projecting upward from the base panel's respective left and right edges. The left and right side panels each define a plurality of slots, with each slot of the left side panel cooperating with a slot of the right side panel to form a plurality of matched pairs of slots, each such matched pair of slots configured to receive at retain one of the display packs. Each slot includes a vertically non-linear section configured such that insertion of a display pack into each matched pair of slots causes the side walls to yieldably deform and thereby secure the display pack in its desired, upright orientation, despite repeated removal and replacement of the display packs by customers.

  • Publication number: 20080283443
Abstract: The present invention provides a display pack for shipping and displaying a product, the display pack comprising a hollow shell and first and second product supports disposed within the hollow shell. The first product support is disposed in a lower portion of the hollow shell, and the second product support is disposed in an upper portion of the hollow shell, such that the first and second product supports are spaced apart from each other to define a product region between them. Additionally, the first and second product supports each define a product support recess that is sized and configured to conformably receive one end of a product disposed within the product region such that the entire hollow shell is spaced apart from the product. At least a portion of the hollow shell is transparent.

  • Publication number: 20070125678
Abstract: A display pack is provided that includes a planar support panel of corrugated paper having a front surface and a rear surface. A plastic product shell is disposed adjacent to the front surface of the support panel. The shell defines a product portion sized to receive a product and a planar portion circumscribing the product portion. A planar overlay sheet is disposed over the product shell, defining an opening such that the product portion of the product shell protrudes therethrough. The overlay sheet is configured to extend beyond a peripheral edge of the product shell and couple to the front surface of the support panel, capturing the shell in place.

  • Publication number: 20060157371
Abstract: A display pack is provided, having a shell and a display card that cooperatively secure a product in a product chamber. The shell includes a front portion that defines a product chamber and further includes a plurality of flaps attached by fold lines to the front portion. The display card is located between the front portion and flaps of the shell, to secure a product within the product chamber. The flaps are secured to the front portion through openings defined by the display card. To open the shell, a purchaser can pry the flaps from the front portion, allowing for removal of both the display card and the product by the purchaser. In this manner, both the shell and the display card are easily separated for recycling. Moreover, the display pack has an effective configuration that is substantially larger than the product to deter theft, while minimizing the amount of material required.
