    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a vehicle that includes a headlamp configured to irradiate light forward, a plurality of suspensions coupled to each wheel of front wheels and rear wheels of the vehicle, a plurality of suspension sensors for detecting a height of each suspension of the plurality of suspensions, respectively. The vehicle may include a controller electrically connected to the headlamp, the plurality of suspensions, and the plurality of suspension sensors. In various embodiments, the controller is configured to receive a height value of each suspension of the plurality of suspensions from a corresponding sensor of the plurality of suspension sensors, and adjust a light irradiation angle of the headlamp by comparing the height values of the plurality of suspensions with a predetermined reference height.

    Abstract: A system and method control a vehicular headlamp for preventing a shadow area between a low beam and a high beam of a headlamp using a camera unit. The method includes periodically determining whether a high beam of the vehicular headlamp is lit or illuminated. Upon determining that the high beam is illuminated, the method includes determining whether a darkness cell is formed in front image data of the vehicle, which is transmitted from a camera unit. Upon determining that the darkness cell is formed, the method includes changing a leveling motor to be directed upward by 1 step and storing a changed number of steps. Upon determining that the darkness cell is not formed, the method includes driving the leveling motor by the pre-stored number of steps.

    Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a vehicular headlamp is provided. The apparatus includes an image capture unit that acquires a surrounding image of a subject vehicle, a steering angle detection unit that detects a steering angle of the subject vehicle, and a controller operates a headlamp of the subject vehicle based on the steering angle. The controller detects whether a forward vehicle is present from the acquired surrounding image when the headlamp of the subject vehicle is turned on, and detect whether the forward vehicle is positioned within a set region of the image when the forward vehicle is present. Some of high beams of the headlamp are turned off based on the detected steering angle when the forward vehicle is positioned within the set region of the image.
