  • Publication number: 20230413130
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive first control signaling indicating a configuration of a set of serving cells for inter-cell mobility procedures and a layer one (L1) report configuration. The UE may transmit, in accordance with the L1 report configuration, an L1 report including channel information associated with one or more cell groups of the set of serving cells, where the one or more cell groups include both active and inactive serving cells for the inter-cell mobility procedures. In some cases, the UE may receive second control signaling modifying the L1 report configuration. The second control signaling may indicate parameters of the L1 report configuration to be updated, such as cells or cell groups to be reported, quantities to measure and/or include in the L1 report, etc. The UE may update the L1 report configuration based on the second control signaling.

  • Publication number: 20230413238
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for determining shared resources associated with one or more user equipments (UEs) for sidelink communications, including control resources and data resources. A first UE may transmit a sidelink request to reserve a subset of data resources to a second UE, and may monitor for one or more sidelink responses indicating a positive sidelink response to the sidelink request, a negative sidelink response to the sidelink request, or both. The second UE may transmit a positive sidelink response if it is available for a data transmission. A third UE may transmit a negative sidelink response if it objects to the data transmission. The first UE may determine, based on monitoring for the one or more sidelink responses, whether to transmit a sidelink confirmation indicating a reservation of the subset of the data resources to the second UE.

  • Publication number: 20230412234
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure address beam management enhancement with the assistance of a cooperative relay UE over a sidelink (SL) channel. A UE may include a memory and a processor. The processor may use machine learning and channel condition measurements to predict an upcoming Uu link beam failure (BF). Based on the prediction, the processor may request SL data resources from a base station, wherein the processor may receive an allocated SL channel and a relay UE. When the Uu link fails, the processor can transmit a beam failure recovery (BFR) signal to the base station using the relay UE over the SL channel. The present disclosure overcomes the deficiencies of conventional BFR processes in which the BF forces the UE to perform a contentious RACH procedure, causing time delays and power consumption.
