    Abstract: A brake device of a robot arm utilizes a brake disc whose diameter is much larger than a diameter of a ratchet for increasing a contacting area of the brake disc, so as to generate a greater friction force. The brake device further utilizes a combining pin, a combining plate, and a plurality of guiding pins for transferring a rotating torque to the brake device having a larger diameter, so as to extend a moment arm of the friction force and generate a greater moment, which reduces a prepressing force and extends life of the brake device.

Then the ejection plate moves a rack to rotate a ratchet unit at a predetermined direction for driving a transmission gear unit to unload a disc.

When ejecting a disc, a power unit moves a slider backward to push a shifting lever at one end of a detecting rod.     Abstract: An emergency ejection protecting module is disclosed to protect the emergency ejection device in an optical disc drive. When the optical disc drive reads/writes a disc, moving a protection door at the case to reveal an ejection hole causes an abnormal operation of the emergency ejection. The contact end protruded from the protection door activates a sensor to transmit an ejection signal to the optical disc drive, and the optical disc drive starts the ejection operation to protect the disc.

A curved area is formed by bending the flexible cable near the opening. The flexible cable is accommodated between the protection plate and the lower housing when the tray is slid inside the lower housing. The isolated part is disposed on the protection plate. The isolated part is for shielding predetermined wires of the plurality of the wires to reduce noise of signals.

    Abstract: The invention provides a method for ejecting an optical disk and a related ejection device for a slot-in disk drive. The ejection device includes a block disposed on a contact end of an unloading bar. The block stretches out of the contact end of the unloading bar along a longitudinal direction of the unloading bar for pushing a small size optical disk so that a distance between a center of the small size optical disk and a contact end of a loading bar exceeds a predetermined distance. When the small size optical disk is unloaded, the unloading bar backs to an initial position, the slot-in disk drive idles to load and unload the small size optical disk continuously for pushing the small size optical disk outwardly further.

One of the two linking parts is formed with a slot, and the other one of the two linking parts is connected to an upper end of a guide pin. A lower end of the guide pin protrudes and is inserted into the slot, and a portion of the guide pin corresponding to a side of the slot is formed with a notch. As the notch engages with the slot, the situation that the guide pin slides out of the slot can be avoided.

A plate flatly is positioned on an upper surface of the traverse, and the plate has a slot, with one end of the slot fastened to a spindle motor to clamp a disc and the other end of the slot forming a staying part for the pick-up head to stay in a stand-by mode. The pick-up head is disposed in the slot and has an objective lens. When the objective lens stays in the staying part out of a periphery of a 12-cm disc, the protection cover crosses over the staying part to protect the objective lens.
