Abstract: When a host mobile electronic device and a client mobile electronic device connect to each other for at least a second time, the client mobile electronic device refers to an entry corresponding to the host mobile electronic device for retrieve required information to wirelessly connect to the host mobile electronic device and to connect to an application installed on the host mobile electronic device under authentication. Therefore, the client mobile electronic device can be relieved from the burden of requesting required information for authentication repeatedly.

Abstract: A method for presenting digital items is provided. The method is executed by a first PCD and includes the following steps. Detect the existence of one or more second PCDs by the first PCD. Update the state of each said second PCD according to the detection. Rank the order of the one or more second PCDs according to the state, wherein the order of the second PCDs whose state is present is higher than the order of the second PCDs whose state is absent. Present one or more digital items according to the order of the one or more second PCDs.

Abstract: Image capture methods and systems with positioning and angling assistance are provided. A reference image having a first set of feature points is provided. A preview image is captured and analyzed using a feature detecting algorithm to obtain a second set of feature points. A variation is calculated according to the first set of the feature points corresponding to the reference image and the second set of the feature points corresponding to the preview image, and a present-marker is rendered on a display unit according to a preset position and the variation.

In response to a first touch input, a first application generates and registers a first connection point with a link component. Similarly, a second application generates and registers a second connection point in response to a second touch input. The link component then provides the second connection point to the first application and notifies the first application that it should complete a communication connection with the second application. The two applications then exchange information to determine a coordinator application that will execute first in response to the input. The information exchange may include a handshake process in which each application may request or provide information and notify the other application that it will or will not execute an operation.

A user of the first mobile electronic device is able to contact a wanted user whose contact information stored in contact lists of confirmed or identified mobile electronic devices giving responses to the first mobile electronic device.

Abstract: An encryption method for enciphering a fixed-length plain text string with a given key to obtain a corresponding fixed-length enciphered text string. The encryption method includes giving the key and the plain text string, cooperating with the key by a startup algorithm to generate an encryption reference data, and cooperating with the encryption reference data by an encryption algorithm to encipher the plain text string into an enciphered text string. The encryption method inputs both a fixed-length input text string and the encryption reference data and following several specific steps, it outputs a fixed-length output text string. The encryption method further comprises a reset procedure for resetting the encryption reference data after enciphering the input text string.
