  • Patent number: 10777121
Abstract: The present invention provides a protection circuit and related operation control method to enable the PFM circuit when the operating duration of the PFM circuit is not greater than a first threshold, and disables the PFM circuit when a rest duration of the PFM circuit is not greater than a second threshold. The present invention further provides a protection circuit and related operation control method to avoid starting excessive vertical scanning operations within one frame scanning period by masking one of the gate scanning start signal STV, the gate clock signal CKV and the gate discharge signal OEV. The present invention further provides a protection circuit and related operation control method to disable the gate scanning start signal STV when the number of clock cycles is not equal to a target number of clock cycles, which protects the gate driver from overload.

  • Publication number: 20140210804
Abstract: In a method of dynamic charge sharing for a display device, it is determined whether a current line of a data driver has polarity inverted from a preceding line. Charge sharing is performed globally, if it is determined that the current line is polarity inverted from the preceding line. It is further determined whether the current line and the preceding line are substantially different, if it is determined that the current line is not polarity inverted from the preceding line. Charge sharing is performed in groups if it is determined that the current line and the preceding line are substantially different; otherwise, no charge sharing is performed.

  • Publication number: 20090195521
Abstract: For an electroluminescent display having an electro-luminescent element connected between a column scan line and a row scan line, a row driver cell switches the row scan line to connect to a high voltage input or a low voltage input, or to be floating, and prevents the current consumed by panel charging and discharging from flowing to the high voltage input from the row scan line.

  • Publication number: 20090137155
Abstract: A connection arrangement for image and antenna signals of an automotive display includes a male connector disposed within a positioning base of the seat back and a female connector embedded into the rear side of the display. The male connector is positioned at the bottom of the slot of the positioning base and consists of a plurality of male terminals horizontally arranged and electrically coupled to an automotive audio/video player. An antenna plug is respectively fitted at both sides of the male terminals. The female connector includes an upper row of insertion holes, a lower row of insertion holes, and antenna jacks for a practical connection to the male connector in an obverse direction and a reverse direction. The front and rear sides of the face end of a control circuit board includes first signal contacts and second signal contacts opposing to the rear end of the female terminals of the insertion holes of the upper and lower rows.

  • Publication number: 20050057455
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a driving device and method for display period control of organic light emitting diode (OLED). A driving device includes a current buffer, a switching unit and a pulse width modulation (PWM) grayscale control unit. The current buffer is connected to an external current source providing constant current. The switching unit is connected to an external precharge voltage supply, a current buffer and analog grounding with an output connected to OLED. The PWM grayscale control unit is connected to an external memory and a switching unit for receiving start signal and grayscale display control in accordance with the image data transmitted by the memory. Grayscale is controlled according to the display phase during the display period for division of grayscale display duration in proportion to the individual grayscales corresponding to image data.
