  • Patent number: 8314885
Abstract: An image-clock adjusting circuit is provided and includes a phase comparator, a clock controller, and a timing generator. The phase comparator receives a power source signal and a vertical synchronous signal and compares a phase of the power source signal with that of the first vertical synchronous signal for producing at least a phase comparison signal. The clock controller receives the phase comparison signal and the vertical synchronous signal, produces a pixel clock signal and intermittently adjusts a clock width of the pixel clock signal. The timing generator receives the pixel clock signal and adjusts the vertical synchronous signal into an adjusted vertical synchronous signal being nearly in phase with the power source signal. Therefore, The effect suppressing the phenomenon of the color rolling with the simpler circuit is accomplished.

  • Publication number: 20090018789
Abstract: An image auto-calibration method for an image capture device having an image sensor is provided. The method includes the steps of receiving an image matrix; transforming the image matrix into an image signal via the image sensor; generating n first sampling pulses and n second sampling pulses in response to the image signal, wherein one of the first sampling pulses and one of the second sampling pulses constitute a sampling pulse set; calculating an eigenvalue of the image signal according to each of the sampling pulse sets; and outputting an image according to the sampling pulse set with the largest eigenvalue.

  • Patent number: 6577778
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for interpolating a digital image in response to a requested degree of sharpness. An adjusting signal representing the requested degree of sharpness will then be generated. The interpolated pixel data are computed based on a 3 order or 4 order interpolation function for three sampling input pixels with an adjustable weight coefficient representing the selected degree of sharpness. The apparatus of the present invention mainly includes: a control interface, a control unit, a vertical interpolation computation module, and a horizontal interpolation module. The vertical interpolation computation module and the horizontal interpolation module are implemented according to an interpolation function derived by the present invention. The control unit comprises a lookup table built according to a scaling function of the present invention.

  • Patent number: 6501452
Abstract: This invention provides a method for automatically adjusting the sampling phase of a LCD control system. This method uses a special function to compute the image characteristic values under different sampling phases and to select the sampling phase with the largest image characteristic value as the correct sampling phase.

Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for interpolating a digital image in response to a requested degree of sharpness. An adjusting signal representing the requested degree of sharpness will then be generated. The interpolated pixel data are computed based on a two-order interpolation function for two sampling input pixels with an adjustable weight coefficient representing the selected degree of sharpness.
