  • Publication number: 20140286502
Abstract: An audio playback system used in a handheld electronic device is provided. The audio playback system comprises an audio interface, a control module, an audio processing module and at least two audio playback modules. The audio interface receives a digital audio stream. The control module generates audio channel mapping information. The audio processing module processes the digital audio stream to convert the digital audio stream to a plurality of analog audio signals and performs a channel switching process according to the audio channel mapping information. The audio playback modules output the analog audio signals after the channel switching process.

  • Patent number: 8438445
Abstract: The invention provides an error detection method for data transmission in a transmission system with a first device, a second device and a data line. The method comprises the following steps. Firstly, a clock signal is sent to synchronize the first and second devices. Secondly, at least one serial data is sent from the first device to the second device in response to the clock signal. After sending the serial data, the first device sends an acknowledgement signal to the second device. After sending the acknowledgement signal, the first device reads the data line to obtain a reading value and determines whether the serial data is correct according to the reading value and a default value of the data line.

  • Patent number: 7159107
Abstract: A booting method capable of executing a warm boot or a cold boot when a CPU crash occurs in a computer system having a CPU and a memory. First, when the CPU is in a crash state, it is detected that a user wants to execute a hardware reset function or a software reset function. Next, a hardware reset operation is executed to reboot the CPU. Then, when the user chooses to execute the hardware reset function, data and predefined values of the memory are deleted to make the computer system return to a default state. Thereafter, when the user chooses to execute the software reset function, the hardware reset operation is regarded as an operation to replace a software reset operation, and the computer system holds the data and predefined values to make the computer system return to a setting state before the computer system is crashed.

  • Patent number: 7003419
Abstract: A card for testing functions of the card interface of an electronic device is provided. The testing card includes a converting circuit, a latch circuit, a data processor, a signal generator, an oscillation combination circuit, and a reset circuit is provided. The converting circuit is coupled to the card interface. The latch circuit receives the data signal fed in from the card interface, latches the data signal and outputs it to the data processor afterwards. Having received the signal sent from the converting circuit and the latch circuit, the data processor is able to proceed with testing. The signal generator can output the mode selection signal and the interrupt signal to the card interface to test the functions of mode selection and interrupt signals. Furthermore, the oscillation combination circuit can generate a wait signal and feed the wait signal to the card interface for the wait test.

  • Publication number: 20050015636
Abstract: The invention provides a method and computer system that can reduce the possibility of cold reset for computer systems. The computer system has a CPU that is used to controls the computer system, a wake-up button that is used to awaken the CPU from a sleep mode, and a battery that supplies power to the computer system. The CPU supports the function of software battery fault handling. The method of the invention includes the procedures (1) When the CPU is in the sleep mode and the computer system's power supply is in an uncertain status, the CPU staying in the sleep mode even a wake-up event occurs. (2) When the CPU is in the sleep mode and the period during which the wake-up button is pressed is less than a predetermined value, the CPU continues to stay in the sleep mode.

  • Publication number: 20040138848
Abstract: A testing card including a converting circuit, a latch circuit, a data processor, a signal generator, an oscillation combination circuit, and a reset circuit is provided. The converting circuit is used to receive the attribute control signal, the common memory signal and the input/output signal fed in from the card interface, convert these signals and output them to the data processor afterwards. The latch circuit is used to receive the data signal fed in from the card interface, latch the data signal and output it to the data processor afterwards. Having received the signal sent from the converting circuit and the latch circuit, the data processor will be able to proceed with testing accordingly. The signal generator can output the mode selection signal and the interrupt signal to the card interface to test the functions of mode selection and interrupt signals.
