  • Publication number: 20150181167
Abstract: A method of managing video conference includes requesting the server for each IP address of each of the remote electronic devices. The server transmits an IP address of each of the remote electronic devices to a local electronic device. According to the received IP addresses, connections are established between the local electronic device and each of the remote electronic devices. An image of a user of the local electronic device is acquired. Images of remote users of the remote electronic devices sent by the remote electronic devices are received. The acquired image and the received images are merged into a first image for a user of the local electronic device and a second image for the remote users of the remote electronic devices. The second image is transmitted to the remote electronic devices.

  • Publication number: 20150052101
Abstract: Method of transmitting files includes acquiring files read by users within a predetermined interval and acquiring file information of the acquired files and user information of users. According to the file information and the user information, the acquired files are classified into groups. Association rules are determined among the groups using a data mining algorithm. A current file read by a current user is acquired. And a group which comprises the current file is determined. According to specified association rules between the determined group and the other groups excepting the determined group, target files are transmit for the current user.

  • Publication number: 20140258283
Abstract: In a file searching method using a computing device, the computing device connects to one or more terminal devices. An electronic file is obtained from a database when a file name is inputted from one of the terminal devices, and the file is analyzed to obtain a title and text content of the file. One or more keywords are extracted from each of the text content of the file using a term frequency-inverse document frequency (TF-IDF) rule. One or more interested terms are obtained from the keywords according to an importance factor of each of the keywords. The method obtains search results from the database according to the interested terms, and ranks the files according to a relevance degree between each file in the search results and the interested terms. The computing device sends the files with a ranking order to the terminal device.

  • Patent number: 8774061
Abstract: A method for managing geographical information of a plurality of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) terminal devices using a VoIP server receives location information of the VoIP terminal devices from the VoIP terminal devices, stores geographical information of the VoIP terminal devices into a data sheet stored in a storage device of the VoIP server. The method detects a query from one of the VoIP terminal devices, retrieves the geographical information from the data sheet according to the query, and obtains an electronic map from the storage device. The method further populates the retrieved geographical information on the electronic map, and sends the electronic map to the VoIP terminal device corresponding to the location information.

  • Publication number: 20130147704
Abstract: A method to identify a shake gesture using an electronic device. The electronic device reads reference acceleration values from an accelerometer of the electronic device when a user shakes the electronic device to establish the shake gesture. The electronic device generates the shake gesture by a sorting algorithm according to the reference acceleration values and associates the shake gesture with an application. The electronic device starts the application corresponding to the shake gesture.

  • Publication number: 20130141216
Abstract: A method for controlling electronic devices using a handheld device, one or more electronic devices are searched in a current location. The method obtains configuration documents of different locations from a storage device of the handheld device, determines a configuration document which has the most quantity or ratio of the searched electronic devices, and obtains an indicating direction of the handheld device. The method further compares the indicating direction of the handheld device with a display direction of each of electronic devices recorded in the determined configuration document, determines a matched electronic device corresponding to the indicating direction of the handheld device, and controls the matched electronic device to perform corresponding functions according to movement data or touch operations of the handheld device.

  • Publication number: 20130136346
Abstract: In a method of a computing device for processing a foreground color of an image, pixels of the image are sampled according to a predetermined sampling ratio. An RGB value of each sampled pixel of the image is counted, and an ideal pixel value of each of the R value, the G value and the B value is determined. A background color of the image is selected from a predetermined color palette according to the ideal pixel value of each of the R value, the G value and the B value. A complementary color of the background color is calculated. A foreground color of the image is selected from the color palette according to the complementary color.
