  • Publication number: 20130027372
Abstract: Various embodiments relate to a projection device for projecting useful data onto a projection surface. In this case, a first laser device generates radiation having a first wavelength and a second laser device generates radiation having a second wavelength. The spots of the respective beams are detected by a sensor device and fed to a drive device for the laser devices. Said drive device temporally shifts the drive signals relative to one another in such a way that a horizontal distance between the spots is minimized. Various embodiments furthermore relate to a corresponding method for projecting useful data.

  • Publication number: 20120150234
Abstract: A method of bone fixation comprises the steps of implanting at least one first fixation element into a respective first anatomical body such that a portion of the first fixation element extends out from an exterior surface of the first anatomical body, and implanting at least one second fixation element into a respective second anatomical body that is adjacent the first anatomical body, such that a portion of the second fixation element extends out from an exterior surface of the second anatomical body. A hardenable material is applied to the portion of each of the fixation elements that extends out from the exterior surface of the respective anatomical body when the hardenable material is in an unhardened state. • Patent number: 8061416
Abstract: A heat exchanger which is especially used as an oil cooler in the motor vehicle industry includes interconnected plates. Outwardly closed cavities are embodied between the plates and are alternately supplied with a first or second medium by at least one supply line and one discharge line, and a corresponding medium flows through them. The plates are profiled in such a way that contact points are created between the respective profiles of the plate, and the plates are interconnected in the region of the contact points. The plates are designed such that the current from the first or second medium forming between the plates, from the corresponding supply line to the corresponding discharge line, does not follow a linear path.

  • Publication number: 20110172721
Abstract: Reduced height and zero-profile implants, such as bone plates, are provided that take advantage of improved bone resurfacing instrument technology to form precisely resurfaced implant-receiving beds in cortical bone, such as across a fracture or bone portion in need of repair, to accommodate the implants. The implants are provided in forms that do not necessitate the inclusion of bone screws while providing increased implant-repulsion resistance. The implants may be sized and configured to receive anchoring pins, preferably anchoring pins having non-circular cross-sectional shafts that further increase implant-repulsion resistance.

  • Publication number: 20110152946
Abstract: A system for achieving maxillo-mandibular fixation includes a bone fixation device including a bone fixation body formed from a plurality of links. The links define corresponding crests and valleys so as to impart flexibility into the bone fixation body. Thus, the bone fixation body can be aligned with the dental arch of the mandible and maxilla as necessary, and subsequently fastened to the underlying bone. Each bone fixation device includes at least one securement location on the fixation body that can attach to a securement device, such that the securement device fixes or stabilizes the mandible and the maxilla with respect to each other.

  • Patent number: 7919935
Abstract: An electroluminescent (EL) element is connected to the power supply and is intermittently operated as a lighting device and as a brightness sensor. For this purpose, the processing unit induces the controlled AC voltage source to reduce the voltage for a short period. The current intensity is measured by current measuring devices and the corresponding measuring signal is digitized using the analog/digital converter (A/D). A processing unit uses the signal and the effective voltage to determine, by means of empirical calibration data stored in the memory or by using a calibration function, the brightness, i.e. the luminance of the light that is incident on the EL element. The processing unit associates, using desired values stored in the memory, the detected brightness with an operating voltage level which ensures the desired emission brightness of the EL element when operated as a lighting device.
