  • Patent number: 11921552
Abstract: A computer chassis includes walls defining an airspace containing heat-generating components (e.g., storage drives). The airspace is divided into first and second regions, such as by a printed circuit board supporting the heat-generating components within the first region. An air input feeds both the first region and second region. Input air going through the first region first passes by a forward set of heat-generating components before continuing to a rearward set of heat-generating components to extract heat therefrom. Input air going through the second region bypasses the forward set of heat-generating components before being directed out through an air opening partway down the length of the chassis, after which this air passes by a rearward set of heat-generating components to extract heat.

  • Publication number: 20190124578
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to a mobility management entity and a method of determining handover under an Evolved Packet Core Network. The mobility management entity receives signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) information provided by a user equipment with respect to a target base station. The mobility management entity defines a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) and a movement velocity indicator for the user equipment and the target base station according to the SNR information, and determines whether to hand over the user equipment from a serving base station to the target base station according to both of the received signal strength indicator and the movement velocity indicator.

  • Patent number: 9241294
Abstract: A base station for a communication system and a handoff method thereof are provided. The base station comprises a transceiver and a processor. The transceiver receives a measurement report message with a present reference signal received quality from a wireless device. The processor electrically connected to the transceiver calculates a next report period, estimates a next reference signal received quality and adjusts a first threshold according to a variance of a reference signal received quality. The processor further enables the transceiver to transmit a first measurement control message to the wireless device according to the next report period. The handoff decision process is triggered based on the first threshold and the next reference signal received quality.

  • Patent number: 5839685
Abstract: The thread feeding wheel is capable of preventing static-electricity from being produced due to rapid feeding of the thread and which provides a surface having a low frictional coefficient so that the thread feeding around the thread feeding wheel would subject to minimal frictional damage. The cylindrical body is made of an aluminum alloy. A layer of oxide of the aluminum alloy is formed by a hard anodizing process on the middle portion of said cylindrical body. A layer of polytetrafluoroethylene resin is impregnated over said oxide layer to further reduce the frictional coefficient of the thread running surface.
