  • Publication number: 20250255664
Abstract: An electrosurgical instrument includes an elongated shaft, an end effector, a drive shaft, and a switch assembly. The end effector is coupled to a distal end portion of the elongated shaft and includes opposing first and second jaw members. The end effector is configured to move between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The drive shaft is operably coupled to the end effector to move the end effector between the open and closed configurations. The switch assembly includes a first electrical contact and a second electrical contact. The first electrical contact is coupled to the drive shaft and configured to move with the drive shaft. The first electrical contact is configured to engage the second electrical contact in response to a movement of the drive shaft to determine a first angle between the first and second jaw members.

  • Patent number: 12287680
Abstract: A case for an electronic device can include a case body including an exterior surface and an interior surface, the interior surface being positioned opposite the exterior surface. The case can additionally include a button body positioned at least partially within the case body between the exterior surface and the interior surface, the button body being movable inward and outward relative to the case body along an axis of button travel. The case can further include a biasing structure having a contact surface configured to contact the button body, the biasing structure configured to bias the button body toward the interior surface along the axis of button travel.

  • Publication number: 20240180609
Abstract: An electrosurgical pencil includes a handle housing defining a fluid lumen and a central longitudinal axis. A nozzle defines a fluid lumen in fluid communication with the fluid lumen defined by the handle housing for evacuating fluid from a surgical site. The nozzle includes a slot configured to receive a nub protruding from the distal end portion of the handle housing to releasably couple the nozzle to the handle housing. An electrode configured to deliver electrosurgical energy to tissue has a proximal portion coupled to the handle housing and a distal portion extending through the fluid lumen defined by the nozzle. At least a portion of the electrode extends distally from a distal end of the nozzle. The electrode defines a central longitudinal axis offset from the central longitudinal axis defined by the handle housing.
