  • Publication number: 20230381256
Abstract: The present invention relates to a recombinant oncolytic virus. The present invention further relates to a nucleic acid encoding a recombinant oncolytic virus. The present invention also relates to a vector comprising a nucleic acid encoding a recombinant oncolytic virus. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising a recombinant oncolytic virus. The present invention further relates a virus, a nucleic acid, a vector, and a pharmaceutical composition for use in medicine, such as for use in the prevention and/or treatment of cancer. Moreover, the present invention relates to the use of a virus, a nucleic acid, a vector, and a pharmaceutical composition as gene delivery tool, (noninvasive) imaging of virus biodistribution, and/or for tumor detection.

  • Publication number: 20210221851
Abstract: The present invention relates to recombinant oncolytic viruses comprising a vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV), wherein the glycoprotein (G protein) of VSV is deleted; and which comprises a modified fusion protein (F protein) of Newcastle disease virus (NDV); and the hemagglutinin neuraminidase (HN) protein of NDV. The present invention further relates to nucleic acids encoding for the recombinant oncolytic virus and vectors comprising the nucleic acids. The present invention further relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising the rVSV of the invention, the nucleic acid or the vector, further to uses as gene delivery tool and/or for tumor detection. The present invention further relates to the recombinant oncolytic vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) for use in medicine, in particular for the diagnosis, prevention and/or treatment of cancer.

  • Publication number: 20100178684
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a recombinant oncolytic virus useful for inhibiting the growth of or killing tumor cells. More specifically, the recombinant oncolytic virus contains a heterologous nucleic acid sequence encoding an inflammation suppressive gene including, but not limited to, natural killer cell inhibitor, a chemokine binding protein, and an NF-?B inhibitor. Alternatively, the recombinant oncolytic virus contains a two or more heterologous nucleic acid sequences encoding one or more inflammation suppressive genes including, but not limited to, natural killer cell inhibitor(s), one or more chemokine binding protein(s), and/or one or more NF-?B inhibitor(s). Optionally, a recombinant oncolytic virus may further comprise one or more heterologous viral internal ribosome entry site (IRES) that is neuronally-silent. Such recombinant oncolytic viruses can be used to treat singular tumors or multi-focal tumors, such as those found in hepatocellular carcinoma or other cancers.
