  • Patent number: 11646811
Abstract: Systems and methods for alien wavelength management. One embodiment is an apparatus for managing alien wavelengths for a Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) system. The apparatus includes memory to store signal thresholds for alien wavelength signals transmitting over the WDM system, wherein the alien wavelength signals are generated by third-party equipment independently controlled from the WDM system. The apparatus also includes an Alien Wavelength Control Unit (AWCU) coupled between the third-party equipment and a channelization port of the WDM system, the AWCU configured to measure a signal parameter of an alien wavelength signal transmitted by the third-party equipment to the channelization port. The apparatus further includes a controller coupled with the AWCU and configured, in response to determining that the signal parameter is outside a signal threshold of the WDM system, to direct the AWCU to modify the alien wavelength signal to protect the WDM system.

Abstract: Systems and methods for alien wavelength management. One embodiment is an apparatus for managing alien wavelengths for a Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) system. The apparatus includes memory configured to store assigned frequency spectrums of corresponding destination third-party equipment for receiving alien wavelength signals, wherein the alien wavelength signals are generated by source third-party equipment independently controlled from the WDM system. The apparatus also includes an Alien Wavelength Control Unit (AWCU) coupled between one or more channelization ports of the WDM system and one or more destination third-party equipment, and a controller configured to direct the AWCU to filter the alien wavelength signal based on the assigned frequency spectrums, wherein the filter transmits the alien wavelength signal to a destination third-party equipment corresponding with an assigned frequency spectrum.

  • Publication number: 20180212838
Abstract: A link budget analysis dashboard collects and aggregates Layer 1 (Physical Layer) power levels from nodes of optical line systems (OLS) across the span of a backhaul or metro network. In one implementation, this is achieved by a cloud-based centralized network management platform written to poll the physical hardware layer to harvest optical power level data across a link span and subsequently organize, aggregate and present it to network engineer user as a real-time link budget analysis.

  • Publication number: 20080082390
Abstract: Methods for generating auxiliary data operations for a role-based personalized business user workplace based on business processes includes analyzing a work-low of a business process to specify business items as an input or output of a task in the business process; identifying data operations for each one of the business items by examining associated attributes and usage of the business item; categorizing the data operations by associating common data operations to the business items, and attaching specific data operations based on the context of the workflow and use by particular business item instances of the business item; and assigning a user role for access to the business items.

  • Publication number: 20070266420
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to privacy compliance assessment for computer software and provide a method, system and computer program product for a privacy model framework for software applications. In one embodiment, a privacy modeling data processing system can be provided. The privacy modeling data processing system can include a modeling framework configured for communicative coupling to a software application. The modeling framework can capture information flows from requests to and responses from a coupled software application, and can rules-based process the captured information flows for privacy rules to generate a privacy compliance report for the software application.
