  • Publication number: 20070118999
Abstract: The present invention relates to hair care compositions comprising an oxidizing agent and chelants having a log KCuL/log KCaL ratio calculated at pH 10 of at least 3.20 wherein log KCuL is the common logarithm of the Conditional Stability Constant of said chelant with Cu2+ and log KCaL is the common logarithm of the Conditional Stability Constant of said chelant with Ca2+. Suitable chelants are diamine-N,N?-dipolyacids or monoamine monoamide-N,N?-dipolyacids. The compositions according to the present invention contribute to reducing the oxidative damage sustained by a keratinous fiber such as hair during bleaching, dyeing, perming or other oxidative treatments. Especially preferred diamine dipolyacid is ethylenediamine-N,N?-disuccinic acid (EDDS).

  • Publication number: 20070107143
Abstract: The present invention relates to hair care compositions comprising chelants and methods for reducing oxidative hair damage. The compositions contribute to reducing the oxidative damage sustained by keratinous fibers such as human hair during bleaching, dyeing, perming or other oxidative treatments. The compositions according to the present invention also provide excellent color evenness and color fastness.

  • Publication number: 20060117495
Abstract: The present invention relates to an oxidative hair colouring and bleaching composition comprising an oxidizing agent, a source of carbonate ions, and an alkalising agent, wherein the composition comprises at least 4% by weight of hydrogen peroxide or a source of carbonate ions, utilised at pH 9.5 and below and wherein said composition is free of a source of radical scavengers which result in improved lift and lightening for blonde shades, excellent dye deposition and colour and improved grey coverage. Moreover, the compositions of the present invention also exhibit low odour and deliver a high level of lift and lightening equal to the currently utilised ammonia/peroxide systems, whilst reducing the concentration of peroxide and reducing the hair fibre damage.

  • Publication number: 20060117494
Abstract: The present invention relates to an oxidative hair colouring and bleaching composition comprising an oxidizing agent, a source of carbonate ions, an alkalising agent, and specific dyes, as defined herein below, utilised at pH 9.5 and below which improved colour delivery and intensity whereby different colours/shades and chromophores are provided, are compatible with current dyes and dye precursor systems and result in improved lift and lightening for blonde shades, excellent dye deposition and colour and improved grey coverage. Moreover, the compositions of the present invention also exhibit low odour and deliver a high level of lift and lightening equal to the currently utilised ammonia/peroxide systems, whilst reducing the concentration of peroxide and reducing the hair fibre damage.

  • Publication number: 20060117496
Abstract: The present invention relates to an oxidative hair colouring and bleaching composition comprising an oxidizing agent, a source of carbonate ions, an alkalising agent, and preformed dyes, utilised at pH 9.5 and below which improved colour delivery, intensity and vibrancy, which are compatible with current dyes and dye precursor systems. Moreover, the compositions of the present invention also exhibit low odour and deliver a high level of lift and lightening equal to the currently utilised ammonia/peroxide systems, whilst reducing the concentration of peroxide and reducing the hair fibre damage.

  • Publication number: 20060064823
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of hair colouring and bleaching compositions providing a composition comprising i) at least one source of peroxymonocarbonate ions, ii) at least one alkalizing agent, preferably a source of ammonium ions, and iii) at least one radical scavenger, wherein said composition has a pH of up to 9.5, and applying the composition to the hair and retaining on the hair for a period of less than 20 minutes, which provide a high level of lift and lightening and the required dye deposition and grey coverage whilst reducing the concentration of peroxide, the ammonia odour and reducing the hair fibre damage.
