  • Patent number: 11274826
Abstract: A method of operating a multi-ring gas burner includes sending a spark to a first ring of the multi-ring burner. After sending the spark to the first ring, the method determines a flame status of the first ring and adjusts a position of an electronic gas valve connected to a second ring of the multi-ring gas burner based on the determined flame status of the first ring.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 3, 2019
Date of Patent: March 15, 2022
Assignee: Haier US Appliance Solutions, Inc.
Inventors: David William Billman, Jennifer Nicole Lea
  • Patent number: 11262070
Abstract: A method of operating a cooktop appliance includes inputting a temperature measurement and a set temperature into a closed-loop control algorithm. When the output of the closed-loop control algorithm is less than a power level threshold, a first control valve to a gas burner of the cooktop appliance is closed.

  • Patent number: 10345514
Abstract: An appliance and illuminated knob assembly are generally provided herein. The knob assembly may include a surface panel, a control knob, a light source, and a light guide. The surface panel may have a forward face and a rearward face. The control knob may be attached to the surface panel at the forward face. Moreover, the control knob may be rotatable about a central axis. The light source may be disposed behind the surface panel at the rearward face. The light guide may be removably attached to the surface panel about the control knob and include a view ring to receive a portion of light emitted from the light source.

  • Publication number: 20170052515
Abstract: A system and method for restarting an appliance after a power supply interruption. A controller regularly communicates an operating status of the appliance and a power supply to a server which can send a restart command after a power supply interruption. The restart command is only communicated if the interrupt time was less than a time predetermined to be safe for restarting the appliance. Upon receiving the restart command, the controller restarts the appliance according to its most recently communicated operating status.
