Abstract: A disposable absorbent article having a topsheet with a hydrophobic treatment and a plurality of apertures therethrough is disclosed. The disposable absorbent article has a backsheet; an absorbent system having a plurality of layers; a first zone having a morphological treatment of plurality of three-dimensional protrusions, each of the three-dimensional protrusions having a base forming an opening, a distal portion and side walls extending between the base and the distal portion each of the protrusions configured such that the topsheet forms a portion of an inner surface of each protrusion and at least one of the plurality of layers of the absorbent system forming a portion of an outer facing surface of each protrusion; and a second zone having a morphological treatment that is different than that of the first zone.

Abstract: A disposable absorbent article having a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed therebetween is described. The topsheet includes a plurality of apertures arranged in a first zone and a first plurality of structures which are disposed adjacent to the first plurality of apertures. The plurality of apertures have an Effective Aperture Area of from between 0.5 mm2 to about 8 mm2 as measured by the Aperture/Feret Angle test as described herein, and the topsheet has a top layer and a lower layer, wherein the top layer is more hydrophobic than the lower layer.

The topsheet includes an array of apertures and a first array of structures which are disposed adjacent the array of apertures. The array of apertures forms apertured indicia, and the first array of structures forms first structural indicia. The apertured indicia is coordinated with the first structural indicia.

The absorbent article comprises a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and an absorbent core positioned at least partially intermediate the liquid permeable topsheet and the liquid impermeable backsheet. The liquid permeable topsheet comprises a first zone and a second zone. The first zone comprises a pattern of apertures. At least two apertures of the pattern of apertures have different sizes, shapes, and/or orientations.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed, in part, to an absorbent article. The absorbent article comprises a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and an absorbent core positioned at least partially intermediate the liquid permeable topsheet and the liquid impermeable backsheet. The liquid permeable topsheet comprise a first zone and a second zone. The first zone comprises a morphological treatment. The morphological treatment comprises a plurality of three-dimensional protrusions extending from a plane of the topsheet. At least some of the three-dimensional protrusions comprise a base forming an opening, an opposed distal portion, and one or more side walls between the base and the distal portion. At least one distance between opposing side wall portions is larger than a width of the opening.
