Abstract: A hair color retention system includes a primer composition having an effective amount of a dendrimer or hyperbranched compound in a cosmetically acceptable aqueous carrier and a chitosan complex composition including chitosan, dehydroxanthan gum, an aldehyde-bearing compound (ABC), and an organic acid. Upon application and rinsing of the primer composition, followed by application of the chitosan complex composition, a chitosan complex coating is formed on hair fibers that provides color retention to the hair. ?E of the treated hair is less than or equal to 10 after 40 washes with a clarifying shampoo.

Abstract: A method of improving foam quality of foams prepared from a concentrated cleaning composition containing fragrance and benzoic acid includes mixing the fragrance with a hydrophilic solubilizer to form a premix and adding the premix to other ingredients of the concentrated composition. A ratio of fragrance to stabilizer in the concentrated composition is about 1:1 to about 3:1. The concentrated compositions are foamed by diluting with water to form a ready-to-use composition and mixing the ready-to-use composition with air in a mechanical foaming head.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing a hair style fullness indicator including capturing, by a camera, a first image of a subject having an initial hair style, determining, by a processor, an initial hair fullness of the initial hair style in response to an area of the initial hair style in the first image, capturing, by the camera, a second image of the subject having a subsequent hair style, determining, by the processor, a subsequent hair fullness of the subsequent hair style in response to an area of a subsequent hairstyle in the second image, and displaying, on a display, a hair fullness indicator in response to a ratio of the subsequent hair fullness to the initial hair fullness.
