Abstract: A doorstop assembly includes a receiving block having a top side and a bottom side and including a central member, a first arm and a second arm. The central member has an outer side, an inner side, a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge. Each of the first and second arms is attached to the central member and extend away therefrom such that the first and second arms are orientated parallel to each other. The first and second arms are spaced from each other to define a door receiving space that receives an edge of a door. The door receiving space has a width greater than 0.5 inches and a depth greater than 2.0 inches. The receiving block has a weight is greater than 3.0 lbs.
