  • Patent number: 10979896
Abstract: A dynamic lockout technique for mobile computing devices is provided. A mobile computing device having a user interface in an active mode identifies foreign computing devices that are connected to a shared network. The mobile computing device determines determining that each foreign computing device is a recognized device, and in response, determines whether a paired device is in proximity to the mobile computing device based on a signal transmitted by the paired device. The mobile computing device maintains the active mode if the paired device is in proximity. The mobile computing device identifies a new foreign computing device that is connected to the shared network. The mobile computing device activates a lockout mode for the user interface while the paired device is in proximity to the mobile computing device if the new foreign computing device is an unrecognized device in proximity to the mobile computing device.

  • Publication number: 20210092112
Abstract: Usage information of a user for a plurality of computing devices is identified. A usage pattern for each computing device of the plurality of computing devices of the user is developed based on the identified usage information of the user. An indication of the user accessing an application on a first computing device of the plurality of computing devices is received. The application requires one or more credentials for an authentication process associated with the application. A determination is made whether the user accessing the application using the first computing device is following the developed usage pattern of the user. Responsive to determining that the user accessing the application using the first computing device is not following developed usage pattern of the user, the authentication process associated with the application is interrupted.

  • Publication number: 20200272613
Abstract: An approach for conversion between database formats (e.g., from a relational database format to a hash table or a “big table” database format) based on user data access patterns in a networked computing environment is provided. A first set of database tables having a first format is identified based on a set of access patterns stored in a computer storage device. A second set of database tables having a second database format corresponding to the first set of database tables may then be provided (e.g., accessed, augmented, and/or generated). A mapping between the first set of database tables and the second set of database tables may then be created. A column set may then be generated based on at least one condition of the set of queries. The column set may then be used as a key for the second set of database tables.

  • Patent number: 10755415
Abstract: A method for analyzing a physical condition based on at least two images. The method selects a plurality of images based on a time lapse interval associated with the plurality of images and a specific physical characteristic being monitored. The method further detects a degree of change in the specific physical characteristic being monitored, wherein the degree of change comprises a change in one or more pixel patterns of at least one image within the plurality of images correlated with the specific physical characteristic being monitored, based on the time lapse interval associated with the plurality of images. The method further displays an alert in response to the degree of change exceeding a prescribed threshold for the specific physical characteristic being monitored.

  • Publication number: 20200195741
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for identifying gaps in streaming data representative of data associated with a sensor in a first computing device and filling in the gaps in the data from computing devices of other users to generate a continuous stream of data. An example technique includes receiving a stream of data associated with a sensor in a first computing device and identifying data segments expected in the streaming data are missing. To fill in the gaps identified, proxy data is retrieved, such as live streaming data from a sensor in a second computer device, previously collected data, and data from a predictive model. Based on the proxy data, estimated data is generated to fill in the gaps identified and augment the stream of data to generate a continuous data stream.

  • Patent number: 10666598
Abstract: A method, system, and/or computer program product alter a state of a transmitted message. One or more processors detect an initial broadcast of a message. The message includes a time-sensitive posting, which is related to an event that occurs at an event time. Processor(s) then compare a current time to the event time. In response to determining that the current time is within a predefined time period in proximity to the event time, processor(s) issue an instruction to alter a state of the message.
