  • Publication number: 20140060058
Abstract: A gas turbine system includes a compressor; a combustion chamber; a gas turbine; and an evaporative cooler. The evaporative cooler includes a plurality of cooling elements, a flow channel, and a feed device. The plurality of cooling elements are arranged in the flow channel. The feed device supplies a liquid to the plurality of cooling elements. The liquid is evaporated or vaporized. Each of the plurality of cooling elements is a flat cooling sheet, a surface of the cooling sheet having hydrophilic properties at least in a subregion which is specified for forming a liquid film. The evaporative cooler is connected ahead of the compressor on an intake side.

  • Publication number: 20110259363
Abstract: The removal of a coating from components after they have been used is often achieved using various acid baths and salt melts. A coating removal process that includes only using hydrochloric acid is provided. The duration of the process in which the coating is treated with the hydrochloric acids has a duration of between 2 and 2.5 hours. The process includes treated the coating with the hydrochloric acid at least twice.

  • Publication number: 20100101234
Abstract: An evaporative cooler for cooling a gas stream, in particular an air stream, including a number of cooling elements located in a flow channel, is provided. A liquid, preferably water, is supplied by a feed device and will be vaporized or evaporated. In one aspect, the surface of at least one of the cooling elements has hydrophilic properties, at least in one sub-region designed to form a liquid film.

  • Patent number: 7288170
Abstract: A process is intended to allow simple and particularly reliable electrolyte generation and conditioning from metal-containing used electrolytes and/or used process solutions and/or pulverulent metal wastes. For this purpose, waste products containing metal ions from metal surface treatment processes are to be treated by producing and/or using a metal ion mixed solution, replacing anions contained in the metal ion mixed solution with anions selected for an intended use selected and selectively removing metal ions which are categorized as unsuitable for the intended use selected from the metal ion mixed solution prepared in this way.

  • Publication number: 20070186416
Abstract: Component repair process, in which a loss of wall thickness is repaired just by a standard coating, results in a component with a layer which has properties that are less than optimum in the repaired region at elevated temperatures. The process according to the invention includes a plastic deformation and heat treatment of the layer, so that it is converted into a coarse-grained microstructure.

  • Publication number: 20050109636
Abstract: A process is intended to allow simple and particularly reliable electrolyte generation and conditioning from metal-containing used electrolytes and/or used process solutions and/or pulverulent metal wastes. For this purpose, waste products (a, b) containing metal ions from metal surface treatment processes are to be treated by producing and/or using a metal ion mixed solution (m), replacing anions contained in the metal ion mixed solution (m) with anions selected for an intended use selected and selectively removing metal ions which are categorized as unsuitable for the intended use selected from the metal ion mixed solution (v) prepared in this way.

  • Publication number: 20040146741
Abstract: Zirconium oxide-based heat insulating layers known in prior art sinter at elevated temperatures while losing the allowance for expansion thereof. The inventive zirconium oxide-based heat insulating layer is provided with admixtures which compensate the reduced allowance for expansion of the zirconium oxide.

  • Patent number: 6582194
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a gas-trubine blade and to a turbine blade. First, a hollow, supporting metal blade body is made, in particular by casting, with a multiplicity of, in particular peg-like, elevations on an outer surface of a blade airfoil of the metal blade body. Impact cooling bores are bored between the elevations from the outer surface to the hollow interior space of the metal blade body. A coating is applied which fills the intermediate spaces between the elevations and closes the impact cooling bores. The coating is made of a heat-resistant, removable material. Then, a covering coat is adhered to the metallically bright top sides of the elevations, and the material in the intermediate spaces between the elevations of the metal blade body and the covering coat is then removed.
