  • Publication number: 20240136730
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods, articles, and apparatuses related to altering electromagnetic radiation. A method of making articles includes a) forming an electromagnetic radiation altering material by providing a polymer matrix and optionally embedding dielectric particles in the polymer matrix and b) obtaining initial dielectric properties of the electromagnetic radiation altering material. The method further includes c) modeling electromagnetic radiation altering features of the material suitable for the article obtained from the material to have target electromagnetic radiation altering properties, thereby obtaining a simulation of the electromagnetic radiation altering article; and d) additive manufacturing the electromagnetic radiation altering article based on the simulation of the electromagnetic radiation altering article. An electromagnetic radiation altering article obtained by the method is also provided.

  • Patent number: 10063598
Abstract: An approach is provided for establishing, authenticating, and accessing a content channel. A channel platform receives an input/request for specifying at least one object to associate with at least one content channel. Further, the channel platform and/or a user/device causes, at least in part, a designation of the at least one object, one or more representations of the at least one object, or a combination thereof as at least one key for accessing the at least one content channel, wherein an authentication of the at least one key as presented by at least one device causes, at least in part, a granting of an access to the at least one content channel to the at least one device.

  • Patent number: 10048858
Abstract: A method and apparatus for swipe shift photo browsing, wherein a first image is displayed on a touch sensitive display, a transition for the first image and an adjacent image is automatically created or determined, a swipe gesture of the user is recognized with the touch sensitive display, and the image shown on the display is shifted. The shifting comprises displaying the transition of the first image and of a second image synchronized with the speed and direction of the swipe, wherein the second image is the adjacent image.

  • Patent number: 9667716
Abstract: An approach is provided for a more efficient and user friendly mechanism for sharing content among users. The approach includes determining a first request from a first device for sharing at least one content item; causing, at least in part, a generation of a graphical code representing, at least in part, the at least one content item, wherein the graphical code is unique to the first request; causing, at least in part, a presentation of the graphical code at the first device; and causing, at least in part, a transfer of the at least one content item from the first device to a second device based, at least in part, on a scanning of the graphical code by the second device.
