  • Patent number: 11555550
Abstract: The invention relates to a capsule for a valve as well as to a valve comprising such a capsule. The task of the present invention is to provide a valve in which tight tolerances for construction can be achieved and the assembly of the valve is simplified. According to the present invention the above task is solved by a capsule (1) for a valve comprising at least one diaphragm (2), a valve seat (3), a capsule inlet (5) and a capsule outlet (6). The valve seat (3) is openable and closable to permit or stop a fluid flow from the capsule inlet (5) to the capsule outlet (6). The above task is also solved by a capsule (1) for a valve that comprises at least one diaphragm (2), a valve seat (3), a capsule inlet (5) and a capsule outlet (6), wherein the capsule (1) is structured and arranged to control the position of a pilot valve element external to the capsule (1).

  • Patent number: 10551102
Abstract: A bulb (5) for a thermostatic expansion valve is provided, said bulb (5) comprising a chamber (7), said chamber (7) being located within a metallic casing of said bulb and being filled with a filling adapted to influence a valve element of said thermostatic expansion valve. Service of a temperature controlled valve connected to a bulb should be facilitated. To this end said bulb (5) comprises a connection geometry (10) adapted to be connected to a capillary member (6) and said casing being provided with a closed opening zone located within said connection geometry (10), said opening zone being adapted to be opened upon mounting a counterpart (15) to said connection geometry (10).

  • Publication number: 20190323748
Abstract: The invention relates to an insert (1) for a thermostatic expansion valve as a thermostatic expansion valve (2) comprising such an insert and to a method of assembling such a thermostatic expansion valve (2). The insert (1) comprises an expansion valve element (3) and an expansion valve seat (4). The expansion valve element (3) is held inside the insert (1) by a biasing member (5), wherein the insert (1) is structured and arranged to be inserted into a valve housing (8). The task of the invention is to provide an insert for a thermostatic expansion valve that allows a simple assembly of the valve and also provides an improved functionality. The task is solved in that the insert (1) further comprises a control valve (12), wherein the control valve (12) is located in the same flow path through the insert (1) as the expansion valve seat (4).

  • Patent number: 8596552
Abstract: A valve (4) for a refrigeration system. Comprises two diaphragms (8, 10) being operatively connected. One diaphragm (8) is in contact with the refrigerant, the other (10) is in contact with the filling fluid. The two diaphragms (8, 10) may have different active areas. In combination with the connection between the two diaphragms (8, 10) this provides a ‘pressure gearing’ between the filling fluid and the refrigerant. Allows the pressure of the filling fluid to be relatively low even when the pressure of the refrigerant is high, while ensuring that the valve (4) can function properly. Particularly suitable for high pressure refrigeration systems, such as CO2 systems.

  • Patent number: 6766993
Abstract: A clamp for connecting a cylindrical temperature sensor axis-parallel with a tube has a bendable metallic tension band which tension band on its one end portion has a first jaw and at its other end section is shapewise connectable with a second jaw, and which clamp also has a tension screw. The tension screw is inserted through a bore in the first jaw and is threaded through a threaded bore in the second jaw. To be able to connect the sensor and tube rigidly with little heat transfer resistance the second jaw has a bent plate with two legs. The first leg is provided with the threaded bore and the second leg with a slot through which the other end section can be passed. The tension band length is so chosen that the other end section after the wrapping of the tension band around the temperature sensor and the tube as well as its being passed through the slot is bendable down onto the second leg. The tension screw length is so chosen that after its tightening it lies on the bent down end section.

  • Patent number: 5706853
Abstract: A valve, especially a thermostatic expansion valve, has a setpoint spring which bears on a plate having a sloping face. A setpoint adjusting device is provided in a housing connecting tube. The adjusting device has a pressure-applying piece having a contact face engaging the sloping face, is secured against rotation and has a threaded bore. An adjusting screw which is supported on the connecting tube against axial displacement engages in this threaded bore. In this construction, the connecting tube requires no machining.
