  • Patent number: 11046326
Abstract: A method for controlling functions in a transportation vehicle wherein a driving behavior of a driver is determined. To be able to classify the driving behavior of the driver, a driving behavior of other drivers is also provided. The driving behavior of the one driver is evaluated based on the driving behavior of the other drivers for at least one specific driving situation, and functions in the transportation vehicle are actuated based on the evaluation thereby achieving a comfortable adjustment of the functions for the driver.

  • Patent number: 9927255
Abstract: In a method and a device for controlling the display on a display area of a display device in a transportation device, data are generated for the display of a background region and data for the display in a subregion of the display area. The display in the subregion covers the display of the background region, and the display content in the subregion displays at least a portion of the display content of the background region covered by the subregion in a different manner than in the background region.

  • Patent number: 8370058
Abstract: In a method for controlling a display device in a motor vehicle, the display device displays a geographic map having elements which are assigned geographic positions and which are displayed on the displayed map at the geographic positions they are assigned. The relevance of the elements displayable on the map for the user is evaluated and an automatic decision is made as a function of the result of the evaluation as to which elements are displayed at the geographic positions they are assigned. A display device in a motor vehicle includes a control device, a display connected to the control device, a memory or a plurality of memories for storing data for displaying a geographic map and for storing elements that are assigned geographic positions and which are displayable on the displayed map at the geographic positions they are assigned.

  • Patent number: 8095307
Abstract: In a method for controlling a map display in a vehicle, a display device is controlled such that a section of a geographical map is displayed in a spatially non-linear scale. A display apparatus for displaying a geographical map includes a control unit and a display device, connected to the control unit, a map section, the control unit including an arithmetic-logic unit by which data assigned to the geographical map is able to be converted into display data, taking a spatially non-linear scale into consideration. A navigation system includes such a display apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20100171767
Abstract: In a method for displaying information in a motor vehicle, including a display device having a display with which different content may be displayed as a function of the viewing angle, basic information is shown for a first viewing angle and a second viewing angle, and in addition to the basic information, first supplementary information is shown for the first viewing angle and second supplementary information is shown for the second viewing angle. Furthermore, an information system is adapted for implementing the method.

  • Publication number: 20050237150
Abstract: Numerous parameters in a vehicle (1), for example, adjustment of the driver seat and rearview mirror. To increase operating comfort for a driver, it is proposed according to the invention that a key (2), assigned to a vehicle (1), determines a biometric feature, especially a fingerprint, of a driver and sends personalization information depending on it to a control device (8) of a vehicle (1). By means of this personalization information, the control device (8) can carry out driver-specific adjustments within a vehicle (1) before the driver gets into the vehicle (1). In addition, the personal desires of an almost unlimited number of drivers can be considered with only a single key (2), as long as the information required for recognition of the different drivers is stored in the key (2), as well as the adjustments desired by the individual drivers.
