  • Patent number: 7673439
Abstract: An agricultural machine for grouping windrows together or for windrowing products lying on the ground includes a main frame supporting a central gathering and windrowing device and two side gathering and windrowing devices connected to support arms that extend laterally during work. Each of the side support arms is articulated relative to the main frame on a substantially vertical axis about which it is foldable at an angle of approximately 90° for transport and each of the side gathering and windrowing devices is articulated on its support arm around a substantially horizontal axis about which it is foldable upwards at an angle of approximately 90° to obtain a reduced machine width for transport.

  • Patent number: 7628004
Abstract: A machine for gathering products such as grass, including a main frame bearing a first lateral gathering device with which a first windrowing device is associated and a second lateral gathering device with which a second windrowing device is associated. The main frame further bears a central gathering device with which a third windrowing device is associated and the central gathering device and the third windrowing device can be moved relative to the main frame into a first and a second position.

  • Publication number: 20070144130
Abstract: The inventive hay-harvest machine comprises a frame consisting of a longitudinal beam (2), a coupling device (3) which hinges on said beam (2) and by a cross member (4) which is fixed to the beam and provided with supporting wheels (7, 8). Said frame (1) comprises at least one working member for displacing products lied on the ground. Said invention is characterised in that the beam (2) of the frame (1) consists of at least two parts (21, 22) one of which carries the coupling device (3) and the other carries the cross member (4) provided with the wheels (7, 8) or with working members (13) and said parts (21, 22) are pivotable with respect to each other by means of at least one substantially vertical axis (23) in such a way that they swing with respect to each other, thereby making it possible to obtain different operating positions.

  • Patent number: 6681689
Abstract: A roll baler including circumferentially rotatable conveyor elements limiting a compression space therebetween, and a device for wrapping up a roll bale, which is formed in the compression space, with a section of a sheath web, the wrapping-up device including a pivotable start-up element for pressing the sheath web, against a surface of one of the rotatable conveyor elements, a separation element for cutting the sheath web off after the wrapping-up process ends and pivotable between cutting and non-cutting positions, and a common pivot axle for supporting the start-up element and separation element for pivotal movement.

  • Patent number: 5941166
Abstract: A round baler is equipped with a mechanism for wrapping the bale with twine. In order to keep the end of the twine from coming loose after ejection of the round bale, there is provided a groove shaper which engages the bale and forms a circumferential groove therein in line with the location where the twine dispensing arm of the wrapping mechanism comes to rest at the conclusion of wrapping a bale. The tension of the length of twine extending between the bale and the dispensing arm causes the final wrap or wraps of twine to be pulled into the groove prior to the wrapped twine being severed from a supply roll.

  • Patent number: 4648239
Abstract: A baling machine, towed by a tractor, for forming large cylindrical bales of hay has a baling chamber defined by oppositely moving runs of belts trained over rolls. In order to avoid stray hay wrapping round the ends of one of the rolls supporting the belts and then being ingested in bearings supporting opposite ends of the roll, a scraper assembly is provided at each end of the roll. The assemblies each comprise a spiral which is welded to the roll and which moves the stray crop away from the end of the roll, and a scaper in light contact with the spiral preventing the crop being carried round the roll by the spiral. Possible crop buildup at the scraper in wet conditions is reduced further by an auger which is disposed just above the scraper and which is driven, e.g. by one of the belts, to move crop away from the scraper.
