  • Patent number: 11474870
Abstract: Provided is a system and method for transferring data attributes of an embedded software program on a device into a PLM instance of the device. Data attributes may be mapped to a predefined data structure of the PLM instance thereby ensuring that the software data is compatible with the process of a PLM environment. In one example, the method may include receiving a request that identifies a software program of an embedded system, identifying data attributes of the software program within a software development application, where the data attributes comprise a description of the software program and a build version of the software program, and translating the identified data attributes of the software program into a predefined data structure of a lifecycle management instance of the embedded system.

  • Publication number: 20170322776
Abstract: Provided are a device and method for displaying a product in a product lifecycle management (PLM) system. In some embodiments, the device may include an input unit that may receive input from a user, a processor that may generate an engineering model of a product corresponding to one or more physical components of the product, and generate a software model of the product corresponding to one or more software components of the product, and a display that may display representations of both the engineering model and the software model incorporated in a same window.

  • Patent number: 8095472
Abstract: This disclosure provides various embodiments of a system, method, and software for implementing a logically centralized source for collaboration on objectives. In one aspect, the method identifies one or more requirements and requirement statuses associated with a business entity for use in a business object stored within a logically centralized repository, the repository storing a plurality of business objects, identifies one or more solutions and solution statuses associated with the identified requirements for use in the business object, and notifies a party of an update to one of the statuses associated with the identified requirements and solutions.
