  • Patent number: 7914719
Abstract: Process for the manufacture of a spun fleece web made of filaments and particularly made of filaments made of thermoplastic synthetic material. The filaments are spun out of a mixture comprising at least one polymer and at least one hydrophilic additive and are plaited to form the fleece web. The fleece web is heated to a temperature of at least 30° C. and/or moistened with an aqueous liquid. The fleece web is thereafter hydrodynamically compacted.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 7, 2005
Date of Patent: March 29, 2011
Assignee: Reifenhaeuser GmbH & Co., Maschinenenfabrik
    Inventors: Sebastian Sommer, Jens Guedden
  • Patent number: 7854816
Abstract: A laminate is made by first treating two spun-bond webs formed of endless thermoplastic synthetic-resin filaments with wetting agents. Then a layer of hydrophilic fibers is applied to one of the treated spun-bond webs and then the other of the treated spun-bond webs is applied to the layer of hydrophilic fibers on the one treated spun-bond web. Finally the two treated spun-bond webs and the layer of hydrophilic fibers between them are hydrodynamically consolidated together.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 14, 2008
Date of Patent: December 21, 2010
Assignee: Reifenhauser GmbH & Co. Maschinenfabrik
    Inventors: Sebastian Sommer, Jens Güdden
  • Patent number: 7618508
Abstract: A laminate consisting of at least three layers, one layer of the laminate being formed by at least one nonwoven web made from continuous filaments. This is a nonwoven web thermally hardened by means of the effect of a hot fluid. A further layer of the laminate is disposed both on the upper side and on the lower side of the nonwoven web and connected securely to the nonwoven web.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 23, 2005
Date of Patent: November 17, 2009
Assignee: Reifenhaeuser GmbH & Co. KG Maschinenfabrik
Inventors: Sebastian Sommer, Detlef Frey, Jens Guedden
  • Patent number: 7611594
Abstract: An absorbent wiping cloth can be made by hydraulic bonding of hydrophilic fibers with a prebonded spunbond filament layer. A further spunbond filament layer can be provided on the fiber side of this laminate.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 24, 2004
Date of Patent: November 3, 2009
Assignee: Reifenhauser GmbH & Co. Maschinenfabrik
    Inventors: Sebastian Sommer, Jens Güdden
  • Patent number: 7461438
Abstract: An apparatus for applying finishing agents onto a nonwoven web, wherein there is provided a device for pre-bonding of the nonwoven web. There is provided at least one guide surface, over which the pre-bonded nonwoven web is guided. Outlet openings for the finishing agent are provided in the guide surface, so that finishing agent can be applied onto the nonwoven web being guided over the guide surface.
