Abstract: A computed tomography device has a gantry with an opening and a body support apparatus to support a body of a person, the body support apparatus has a board and is arranged relative to the opening such that a shoulder region of the body of the person rests on the board when the board is in an examination position of the board relative to the gantry and the head of the person is inserted into the opening along a system axis of the gantry, the body support apparatus has a pivoting apparatus and the board is mounted pivotably about a pivot axis relative to the gantry via the pivoting apparatus such that a first pivoting movement of the board about the pivot axis can move the board relative to the gantry from a preparation position of the board to the examination position of the board.
