  • Publication number: 20240100642
Abstract: A method for protecting a user of a power tool from the effects of a suddenly occurring imbalance, and to a power tool having a disk-shaped tool for carrying out the method. The power tool has at least one acceleration sensor which is configured to detect vibrations which occur during the operation of the power tool. The vibration values determined can be evaluated and compared with specified limit values, wherein the power tool can be switched off if the vibration values exceed a corresponding limit value. By switching off the power tool, which can be achieved in various ways, the power tool affords optimum user protection against the effects of a suddenly occurring imbalance that may occur, for example, in the event of a defective tool of the power tool.

  • Patent number: 8448300
Abstract: An auxiliary handle for a hand-held power tool has a handle piece, a fixation means for fixing the auxiliary handle to the hand-held power tool, a rod with at least one set of teeth, and a guide in which the rod is seated longitudinally movably. A locking mechanism has a pawl, a pivot axis about which the pawl can be rotated between a locking position and a release position, and at least one locking tooth on the pawl that engages in a locked position with the guide, and is pivoted out of the guide in a release position. A spring element initially tensions the pawl into the locking position. A distance of the spring element from the pivot axis is less than a distance of the locking tooth from the pivot axis.

  • Publication number: 20120247796
Abstract: The hand-held power tool has a tool socket to hold a tool. A motor is coupled to the tool socket in order to drive the tool socket. The motor is arranged in a housing. The housing has a holder that is provided with a mechanical lock for detachably coupling a battery pack, and with a power connection for electrically connecting the battery pack to the motor. A communication interface serves to transmit properties of the battery pack to a motor control unit. The motor control unit includes a soft start that accelerates the speed of the motor from a standstill to a target speed at a given rate, whereby the motor control unit controls the rate as a function of a property of the battery pack transmitted by the battery pack.

  • Publication number: 20120048580
Abstract: A handheld power tool has a handle (17), a machine housing (8), in which a drive (4) oscillating along a working axis (5) is situated, and a suspension, which has a first carrier connected to the machine housing (8) and a second carrier connected to the handle (17). A first mating surface of the first carrier facing the machine housing (8) engages behind a second mating surface of the second carrier facing the handle (17). In a basic position, the first mating surface is in contact with the second mating surface under the action of force applied by at least one spring element acting parallel to the working axis (5). The first carrier is displaceable with respect to the second carrier out of the basic position and into a working position along the working axis (5) against the at least one spring element such that, in the working position, an air gap separates the first mating surface from the second mating surface.

  • Publication number: 20100270047
Abstract: A hand-held power tool includes a machine housing, a handle, and a damping device that couples the handle to the machine housing. The damping device is configured to be star-shaped with three elastic struts, whereby a first strut and a second strut are joined to the machine housing, while a third strut is joined to the handle.
