  • Publication number: 20160045849
Abstract: The explosion protection device as per the invention is intended to be used for a system located in a closed room whose components are located in a housing. A housing opening is provided in a side wall of the housing that connects to a redirection unit, which effects an upward redirection of a gas stream escaping from the housing opening when an explosion occurs in the housing. The redirection unit has an outlet opening on which a flame-retardant relief device is arranged. The redirection unit is connected to a protective shield that surrounds the outlet opening.

  • Patent number: 8398303
Abstract: A temperature measuring probe with a hollow outer shell including an electrically conductive section and an electrically insulating section. A temperature sensor including a resonator is disposed in the electrically conductive section and electrically conductively connected to the electrically conductive section. An antenna including a shortened monopole is disposed in the electrically insulating section. The temperature sensor and the antenna are electrically conductively connected to each other. A respective material and respective dimension of the electrically insulating section and the antenna are matched such that an effective resistance of the antenna is approximately equal to an effective resistance of the temperature sensor in an operating frequency range of the temperature sensor.

  • Patent number: 6478748
Abstract: Disclosed is a medical telemetry system for collecting vital data, specifically body temperature, the system consisting of a plurality of measuring sensors 10 and a collecting device 30. Each sensor 10 is placed at a predetermined location of the patient's body and automatically detects the vital data value to be measured. Upon a measurement termination signal, which is preferably acoustical, the sensor can be removed from the measuring location and stored away. For a defined period of time, e.g. two hours, the sensor 10 remains in an active state in which it transmits the detected measured value upon request. The measured value along with an ID code and status signals, which relating for instance to the battery voltage, can be interrogated and stored by means of a collecting device 30. Upon expiry of the defined period of time, the measured value is cleared, and the sensor 10 is automatically reset to an energy-saving rest condition.

  • Patent number: 6351217
Abstract: The invention relates to a clinical thermometer of a small design portable also by children, having a data memory 18 and an interface 21, by which both continually monitoring measurements and discontinued cyclic measurements as a maximum thermometer may be comfortably performed at locations which are medically established for measuring body temperature. Depending on the selected setting of the storage rate, the temperature of the measurement location is continuously monitored or cyclic individual measurements are taken. For changing the mode of operation, no extra keys or switches are necessary which would be difficult to place on a small, compact housing 14.
