  • Patent number: 11326487
Abstract: A method for operating an internal combustion engine that is supplied with lubricating oil via an oil circuit. A measurement value of the total base number and/or a measurement value of the oxidation of lubricating oil currently used in the oil circuit for the lubrication is detected. Dependent on the established measurement value of the total base number and/or dependent on the established measurement value of the oxidation an exchange oil quantity for the oil circuit is determined. Currently used lubricating oil to an extent corresponding to the exchange oil quantity is removed from the oil circuit and new lubricating oil to an extent corresponding to the exchange oil quantity is supplied to the oil circuit.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: May 10, 2022
    Assignee: MAN Energy Solutions SE

Abstract: A method for operating an internal combustion engine wherein the internal combustion engine to be operated is supplied with lubricating oil via an oil circuit. A measurement value of a total base number and/or a measurement value of the viscosity of the lubricating oil currently used in the oil circuit for the lubrication is detected. Dependent on the established measurement value of the total base number and/or dependent on the established measurement value of the viscosity an exchange oil quantity for the oil circuit is determined. Currently used lubricating oil to an extent corresponding to the exchange oil quantity is removed from the oil circuit. New lubricating oil to an extent corresponding to the exchange oil quantity is supplied to the oil circuit.

  • Patent number: 9153916
Abstract: An electrical series terminal having a terminal housing, conductor connector elements, and current bars, the current bars each having a connector section and a first contact section, the connector sections being assigned to a conductor connector element and the first contact sections together forming a resilient contact region to receive the plug of the test or power plug. A switchable transverse bridge is producible by each current bar having a second contact section, two further current bar pieces being arranged in the terminal housing, and a recess being formed in a current bar piece for insertion of a branch of a jumper. A current bar piece is assigned to a respective current bar so that the second contact section of a current bar is connected to the assigned current bar piece when no plug is inserted and is spaced from the assigned current bar piece when a plug is inserted.

  • Patent number: 7810237
Abstract: A method is for repairing and/or modifying component parts of a gas turbine. First, at least one, particularly damaged section of the component part that is to be repaired is cut out of the component part. In addition, if it does not exist, a data record is generated for a replacement part that is to be produced. The replacement part is subsequently produced with the aid of a rapid manufacturing process. Subsequently, the replacement part produced is integrated into the component part that is to be repaired.
