Publication number: 20200165693Abstract: A process for the industrial production of wear-resistant steel pipes having an optimized life. The process includes providing a wear-resistant, hardenable steel sheet in an unhardened or tempered state, shaping the steel sheet into a tubular preform in which two longitudinal edges of the steel sheet are positioned opposite one another with a welding gap extending between the two edges, welding the longitudinal edges by forming a welded seam which closes the welding gap, thereby forming a steel pipe, and heat treating the steel pipe. The heat treatment of the steel pipe includes heating the steel pipe at an average heating rate of 5-400 K/s to a hold temperature which is ? the Ac3 temperature of the steel and ?1100° C., holding the steel pipe at the hold temperature for 1-120 s, and cooling the steel pipe at an average cooling rate of 10-600 K/s to room temperature.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 9, 2018Publication date: May 28, 2020Inventors: Christoph Günster, Peter Ohse, Jens Plha, Hans-Joachim Tschersich, Stefan Wischmann

Publication number: 20190085425Abstract: “A method for thermally treating a flat steel product, a thermally treated flat steel product and use thereof. The method includes providing a flat steel product with a structure with a first hardness. The flat product is heated at least in sections to an austenitizing temperature. The heated flat product is cooled at least in sections so that a structure with a second hardness is formed within the flat product at least in sections, the second hardness having a higher level of hardness in comparison to the structure with the first hardness. The heating and the cooling down of the flat product are coordinated with each other such that the structure with the second hardness is formed across the thickness of the flat product and at least in one of said sections, the structure with the first hardness remains constant across the thickness of the flat product.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 3, 2017Publication date: March 21, 2019Applicants: THYSSENKRUPP STEEL EUROPE AG, thyssenkrupp AGInventors: Peter OHSE, Stefan WISCHMANN, Jens PLHA, Thorsten KRENKE, Stefan KRANZ

Patent number: 9884387Abstract: A method and a device for inductive radiofrequency welding of metal products, include heating by inducing radiofrequency currents with use of at least one induction conductor. The metal products and a welding zone are moved relative to one another, so that edge regions of the metal products to be welded are brought in contact in the welding zone and are welded together to form a weld seam. Metal products with different material thicknesses and/or material properties can be welded together because an induction conductor which heats the edge regions of the metal products is used which includes at least two mutually separable induction conductor components that are assigned to the respective metal product and are adapted thereto, and the edge regions to be welded are heated in a manner that is adjusted separately for the respective metal product.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 2007Date of Patent: February 6, 2018Assignee: WISCO Tailored Blanks GmbHInventors: Jens Plha, Martin Koch, Stefan Wischmann, Bernhard Nacke, Alexander Nikanorov, Holger Schülbe, Mario Schmidt, Henning von Löhneysen

Patent number: 9327367Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for guiding bands to be joined to one another along their longitudinal edges, comprising guide elements which form tracks for guiding the bands that are configured such that the bands approach one another in the transport direction and the longitudinal edges thereof rest on one another at a non-overlapping contact point. At least one of the tracks may be configured to undulate with a wavelength of ¼???2, such that transverse displacement of the band guided thereon occurs. The axes of rotation and/or longitudinal central axes of the guide elements may also be inclined towards one another at different angles of inclination in relation to a horizontal plane of reference, such that the band guided on said track is rotated about its longitudinal axis in the transport direction.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 2011Date of Patent: May 3, 2016Assignee: WISCO Tailored Blanks GmbHInventors: Jens Plha, Walter Mühlhause, Stefan Wischmann
