  • Patent number: 11331194
Abstract: A femoral component (2) for mounting onto a femur and being adapted to articulate with a tibial bearing component in a knee prosthesis comprises proximal end portions (7, 10) adapted to be oriented towards the femur when the femoral component (2) is mounted thereon, and distal end portions adapted to be oriented towards the tibial bearing component when the knee prosthesis is fully extended. The proximal end portions (7) comprise posterior proximal end portions which are located on an posterior side of the femoral component and an anterior proximal end portion (10) which is located on an anterior side of the femoral component (2). The femoral component (2) further comprises a medial condyle (13) and a lateral condyle (14) which each extend from one of the posterior proximal end portions beyond the distal portions and towards the anterior proximal end portion (10) of the femoral component (2).

  • Publication number: 20210177611
Abstract: A prosthetic component (2) adapted to be mounted to a bone as part of a knee prosthesis comprises a spacing element for compensating resected bone. The prosthetic component (2) further comprises a main body (6) with a contact surface (7) configured to abut the spacing element and a fixation mechanism (9) for fixing the spacing element between the contact surface (7) and the bone. The fixation mechanism (9) comprises a receiving portion (10) located at the contact surface (7). The fixation mechanism (9) further comprises an insert (11) for insertion into the receiving portion (10) and a fastening element adapted to engage with the insert (11). The receiving portion (10) is adapted to fix the insert (11) via a bayonet joint connection such that the fastening element, extending through the spacing element and engaging with the insert (11), fixes the spacing element to the contact surface (7).

  • Patent number: 9827105
Abstract: An endoprosthesis for knee joint arthrodesis having a femur portion including a femur attachment structure; a tibia portion including a tibia attachment structure; a coupling section formed on the femur portion and a coupling section formed on the tibia portion. The coupling sections are pivotably connected to one another about a prosthesis pivot axis that extends in the installed position of the endoprosthesis horizontally from medial to lateral. A locking element is moveable between locking and release positions. In the locking position the locking element rigidly locks the coupling sections in a predefinable pivot position. In the release position the coupling sections are pivotable relative to one another about the prosthesis pivot axis. A retaining and return means and an unlocking mechanism are provided. The retaining means forces the locking element into the locking position. The unlocking mechanism moves the locking element into the release position.

  • Publication number: 20150282815
Abstract: A bone chisel for creating a protrusion bearing cruciate ligament attachments from an upper side of a tibia head, which has a blade that encloses an area of a projection in a U-shape to a front with a transverse wall and to a side with side walls, and which has a cutter. A guide rod extended parallel to a driving direction of the bone chisel is mounted on a side of the bone chisel formed by the transverse wall, which guide rod is displaceably mounted in a direction of the guide rod in a guide head, which can be affixed on a front side of the tibia head.
