    Abstract: An approach is provided for managing a vehicle reservation used in an intermodal route. A routing platform determines that the intermodal route includes a segment to be traveled using a vehicle booked via the vehicle reservation, and another segment that is traveled using a different mode of transport for a user to reach the vehicle to travel the segment. The routing platform monitors an expiration period of the vehicle reservation and a user location of the user on the another segment. The routing platform calculates a probability that the user will reach the vehicle to travel the segment before an end of the expiration period based on the user location. The routing platform generates at least one route option based on the probability, wherein the at least one route option includes an extension the vehicle reservation, and/or a creation of another vehicle reservation for another vehicle.

The processor may be further configured to receive a modification for the service boundary geometry data via the user interface of the user device; update the on-street parking predictions based on the modified service boundary geometry data; and update the representation of the on-street parking predictions on the user interface of the user device, based on the updated on-street parking predictions.

    Abstract: An approach is provided for routing a user and a vehicle to a destination. A routing platform receives a request to route the user to a destination, wherein a user location of the user and a vehicle location of the vehicle are different. The routing platform further computes one or more candidate routes that includes an option for the user to travel from the user location to an intermediate location via an alternate transport mode and for the vehicle to travel from the vehicle location to the intermediate location, wherein the vehicle can pick up the user to travel from the intermediate location to the destination. The routing platform further selects a navigation route from among the one or more candidate routes based on a time to the destination and/or a distance to the destination.
