  • Patent number: 12057695
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a sensor assembly for a vehicle, comprising a sensor element for detecting a measurement variable and at least two control devices, each having a measuring circuit and a power source. A first connection of the sensor element is connected to the power source of a first control device. A second connection of the sensor element is connected to a ground connection via a measuring circuit of a second control device. The measuring circuit of the first control device evaluates sensor current detected in a high side path of the sensor element. The measuring circuit of the second control device evaluates sensor current detected in a low side path of the sensor element. A first emergency protective circuit provides an alternative low side path for the sensor element and receives the sensor current if the voltage drop reaches a predefined breakover voltage value.

  • Patent number: 11841379
Abstract: A sensor assembly includes a sensor element and at least two control units, each having an evaluation and control unit and an energy source. In a first control unit, a first evaluation and control unit is connected to a first energy source, and in a second control unit, a second evaluation and control unit is connected to a second energy source. The at least two control units and the sensor element are interconnected by at least one separate interconnection unit. Each interconnection unit connects a first connection of an associated sensor element to the first energy source and/or to the second energy source. A second connection of the sensor element is earthed. A sensor current flowing through the sensor element is modulated at least with information about a detected measured variable. The first evaluation and control unit and/or the second evaluation and control unit evaluate(s) the detected sensor current.

  • Patent number: 7973426
Abstract: A personal protection control unit, having an energy reserve which is charged by a battery voltage and supplies power to the control unit. In addition, a first voltage supply circuit is provided, down-converting the voltage of the reserve power in such a way that the first voltage supply circuit supplies several voltage levels for operation of the control unit. Finally, a second voltage supply circuit is also provided and is also connected to the energy reserve, supplying at least one additional voltage level to at least one transistor and to at least one voltage regulator via a resistive circuit.

  • Patent number: 5497073
Abstract: A constant current source that has a band-gap reference voltage source with three transistors, where the third transistor is connected with the input of a current balancing circuit whose output controls current sources for the first and second transistors of the band-gap reference voltage source as well as a current source for generating a constant output current and which can be connected via a resistor both with the operating voltage source and with the reference potential by the use of a switch. This circuit results in a low power consumption because it is switched on by the use of a switch only when required and in the switched-off state draws a minimum amount of leakage current.
