  • Publication number: 20170371042
Abstract: Provided are a contrast agent for optical imaging, a use thereof and an apparatus using the same. The contrast agent for optical imaging of the present disclosure allows optical imaging without requiring a fluorophore or a luminophore. As a result, the optical images can be acquired without changing the physicochemical properties of a substrate. The contrast agent for optical imaging of the present disclosure may be used as an optical/nuclear bimodal imaging contrast agent for many applications, and allows radiation therapy as well as monitoring of a therapeutic effect thereof through optical imaging at the same time. Further, when a fluorophore is attached thereto, light emission may be enhanced without energy input from outside since light is emitted from the fluorophore, thereby increasing luminescence intensity and improving tissue penetration.

  • Publication number: 20160205943
Abstract: The present invention relates to a technique, a method, and a composition for controlling plant pathogens comprising a Bacillus amyloliquefaciens KBC1004 strain and a culture medium thereof as active ingredients. Particularly, the Bacillus amyloliquefaciens KBC1004 strain and the culture medium thereof of the present invention have excellent antifungal activity against various plant pathogens such as Rhizoctonia solani AG-2-2(IV) causing turfgrass diseases, Botrytis cinerea causing gray mold rot, Colletotrichum acutatum causing chili pepper anthracnose, Colletotrichum gleosprodes causing sweet persimmon anthracnose, Rhizoctonia cerealis causing yellow patch, Rhizoctonia solani AG-1(1A) causing brown patch, Sclerotium rolfsii causing southern blight, and Phytophthora drechsleri causing kiwifruit phytophthora blight, so that they can be efficiently used as an eco-friendly composition for controlling plant pathogens.

  • Publication number: 20110123439
Abstract: The present invention relates a dual-modality PET (positron emission tomography)/MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) contrast agent, a hybrid nanoparticle comprising: (a) a magnetic signal generating core; (b) a water-soluble multi-functional ligand coated on the signal generating core; and (c) a positron emitting factor linked to the water-soluble multi-functional ligand. The contrast agent of the present invention is the dual-modality contrast agent enabling to perform PET and MR imaging and can effectively obtain images having the merits of PET (excellent sensitivity and high temporal resolution) and MR (high spatial resolution and anatomical information) imaging. The contrast agent of the present invention is very useful for non-invasive and highly sensitive real-time fault-free imaging of various biological events such as cell migration, diagnosis of various diseases (e.g., cancer diagnosis) and drug delivery.
