  • Patent number: 9492418
Abstract: Compounds used to inhibit glycolytic pathway small molecule kinase 6-Phosphofructo-2-kinase/Fructose-2,6-bisphosphatase (PFKFB) are set forth; these inhibitors can be used in the treatment of certain diseases in which cells or tumors rely on glycolytic metabolism, such as many cancer cells.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 9, 2012
Date of Patent: November 15, 2016
Assignee: Board of Supervisors of Louisiana State University And Agricultural and Mechanical College
Inventors: Yong-Hwan Lee, Jeong Do Kim
  • Patent number: 9492739
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a virtual world processing apparatus. The virtual world processing apparatus includes a gas sensor unit and an engine. The gas sensor unit obtains scent information in the real world. The engine receives information about the capabilities of the gas sensor unit from the gas sensor unit, and transmits the scent information obtained by the sensor unit to a virtual world or the real world.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 18, 2013
Date of Patent: November 15, 2016
Assignee: ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS RESEARCH INSTITUTE
Inventors: Sang Hyun Joo, Hae-Ryong Lee, Hyung-Gi Byun, Jeong-Do Kim
  • Patent number: 9310781
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an apparatus and method for interaction between content and an olfactory recognition device. In the method for interaction between an olfactory recognition device and a content device, the method allows the olfactory recognition device to interact with the content device. If a connection to the content device has been made to enable data communication with the content device, an open signal is transmitted to the content device. As a response to the open signal, an approval signal is received from the content device. A device information datasheet that is information about the olfactory recognition device is transmitted to the content device in response to the approval signal. An acknowledgement signal is received from the content device.

  • Patent number: 7259010
Abstract: The present invention relates to mammalian expression vectors including nuclear matrix attachment region of human interferon ?, and more particularly to pPGM-1, pPGM-2 and pPGM-3 including nuclear matrix attachment region of interferon ? gene. Those expression vectors confer position independent expression of the introduced foreign gene, thus increasing the frequency of colonies which efficiently express the recombinant protein.
