  • Publication number: 20230155692
Abstract: A power receiver (301a, 301b, 301c, 301d, 301e, 301f) is disclosed herein. In a specific embodiment the power receiver has a first electrode (300) arranged to be electrically coupled to a body (105) of a living being, the first electrode (300) operable to receive an electrical signal via the body; and a rectifier (307) for rectifying the electrical signal into a rectified electrical signal. The rectifier (307) includes a plurality of rectifier switches and operable in a bulk biasing mode in which first selected rectifier switches of the plurality of rectifier switches are forward bulk biased. A power transmitter (201), an energy transfer apparatus (100) and a method of transmitting electrical power are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11065446
Abstract: Provided is a cochlear implant device with a glasses shape. The disclosed cochlear implant device improves body wearability and aesthetic effects by designing the cochlear implant device to have a glasses shape, and achieves alignment of a receiver coil implanted into the body and a transmission coil outside the body without using a magnet because the transmission coil is integrally provided at an end of a glasses temple such that a region of a body with which the transmission coil comes into contact is changed according to a bending degree of the glasses temple.

  • Publication number: 20200261727
Abstract: A multi-channel electric stimulator for a neural implant switches direct current according to nerve stimulation channels of different sequences of nerve stimulation. A direct current generator supplies direct current in response to nerve stimulation in the sequence of stimulation by controlling a nerve stimulation channel next in the sequence to stand by, with an electric current of the next nerve stimulation channel being modified into a direct current level, when nerve stimulation is performed using a nerve stimulation channel earlier in the sequence of stimulation. A biphasic current pulse generator generates a biphasic current pulse by switching the nerve stimulation channel-specific direct current supplied thereto. A controller controls a switching operation of the biphasic current pulse generator depending on a sequence of stimulation set according to the nerve stimulation channels. DAC switching noise induced by the occurrence of a biphasic current pulse is not transferred to the circuit.

  • Patent number: 10500393
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal polymer-based electrode array for a neural implant, according to the present invention, can comprise the steps of: forming a seed layer on a liquid crystal polymer substrate; forming a plating mold having a pattern selectively exposing a part of the upper part of the seed layer; plating an electrode material on the exposed seed layer by using the plating mold as a plating barrier layer; forming an electrode by removing the plating mold and the seed layer therebelow; embedding the electrode by compressing a liquid crystal polymer cover layer on the electrode; and forming an electrode site exposing the upper part of the electrode by selectively removing a part of the liquid crystal polymer cover layer.
