  • Patent number: 7014165
Abstract: A flow control valve apparatus using a flow control valve manufactured via micro-machining is provided. The flow control valve has a substrate defining at least one orifice through which a fluid can flow, a support member formed on a first surface of the substrate, at least one flap corresponding to the at least one orifice, a pair of elastic flexures connecting the support member to the at least one flap, and a driving means for displacing the at least one flap between the first and second positions to control fluid flow through the at least one orifice. The support member is formed adjacent to the at least one orifice and the at least one flap extends from the support member to fittingly engage the at least one orifice in a first and second position. Also, the pair of elastic flexures provides an elastic restorative force proportional to a displacement of the at least one flap between the first and second positions.

  • Publication number: 20060045093
Abstract: A scheduling apparatus and method are capable of maximizing efficiency of trunk line usage and preventing queue congestion when a trunk line is used in a mobile communication system. A variable bandwidth management service for allocating more bandwidth to a queue with greater traffic is provided so that allocation of bandwidth can be made flexibly. A scheduler calculates actually provided class information and performs scheduling according to a current scheduling ratio, thereby preventing congestion of a specific queue.

  • Publication number: 20050195508
Abstract: Disclosed is a device for reducing deterioration of image quality which can get rid of speckle by equalizing a laser from a light source on a screen by vibrating a reflective mirror installed between the light source and the screen at a predetermined amplitude. The device for reducing deterioration of image quality in a display system using a laser as a light source includes: a reflective mirror formed at the path of light positioned between the light source and a screen, for reflecting the laser; and a driving unit connected to the reflective mirror and vibrating the reflective mirror at a predetermined amplitude by using an electromagnetic force.

  • Publication number: 20040264469
Abstract: Efficient ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) cell switching operations for establishing routing paths for ATM cells in an ATM-based network is achieved by using a newly created field indicating an end destination that is added to the front of an ATM cell header. Network delays and processing loads due to unnecessary ATM cell switching operations are reduced, and waste of VPI (Virtual Path Identifier) and VCI (Virtual Channel Identifier) resources is prevented. Such techniques may be applied to a network board requiring frequent ATM cell switching in an ATM-based mobile communication system.

  • Publication number: 20040085982
Abstract: A system and method for managing traffic in a communication system assigns multiple links in a system to a queue. The queue is formed from one or multiple memories and a queue assignment unit assigns banks in the queue to one or more links. The queue assignment also writes data in the banks of specific links through a write control signal. A signal detection unit detects availability of a line interface unit, and a data control unit that reads data from the queue and writes it in the line interface unit. Through this structure, a faster and more efficient data transmission system is formed.
