Abstract: A method and system for monitoring energy consumption is provided. The method for monitoring energy consumption estimates a number of people in a room based on an indoor CO2 concentration, and determines whether an amount of energy consumed indoors is proper or not based on the estimated number of people in the room. Accordingly, a waste of energy can be prevented by monitoring when a proper amount of energy is consumed in comparison with the number of people in a room. In addition, the number of people in the room can be easily estimated at low cost prior to determining whether energy consumption is proper or not.

Abstract: A dish washing machine is provided herein. The dish washing machine includes a switching assembly configured to change a direction of washing water sprayed by a spray unit. The switching assembly includes a switching unit configured to change the direction of the washing water. The switching assembly also includes a damping unit configured to lessen vibrations of the switching unit. Using this structure, the direction of the washing water is efficiently changed by the switching unit, and vibrations and noise are lessened.

The washing apparatus can control the power supply and power cut-off to the AC motor based on the rotating speed.

Abstract: A washing machine having a ball balancer to reduce vibration generated during dehydrating process and a vibration controlling method thereof are disclosed. In a washing machine having a ball balancer, a dehydrating process starts while residual water having a preset water level remains in the tub without draining water completely when entering the dehydrating process, and the quantity of residual water is set differently according to eccentricity so that excessive vibrations of a tub may be reduced using the weight of the residual water while passing through a resonant point. Speed of a motor is maintained at a preset speed lower than the resonant point for a preset time to release balls in the ball balancer so that excessive vibrations of the tub generated by concentrated balls and unbalanced laundry may be surely reduced. After passing through the resonant point, the residual water is drained to reduce drain noise and to prevent delay of dehydrating time.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a washing machine with a balancer to counterbalance unbalanced load produced during rotation of a drum and a control method thereof. The washing machine having a balancer to counterbalance unbalanced load produced during rotation of the drum seats a mass in a groove in the balancer before rotation of the drum possibly producing unbalance as in the spin-drying cycle begins, thereby efficiently maintaining balance of the drum. Accordingly, vibration in the drum may be reduced and product liability incident due to touch of the frame may be prevented.

Abstract: A dishwasher having a spray unit fixed at a washing tub and configured to spray wash water, and a conversion assembly provided as to convert the direction of the wash water being sprayed from the spray unit toward a tableware basket. The conversion assembly includes a vane rotatably provided while disposed as to face with respect to the spray unit such that the direction of the converted wash water is adjusted. Through the structure as such, the spraying range of the wash water is extended, and may be able to minimize noise from the striking of the wash water against an inside wall or door of the dishwasher.

Abstract: Present invention relates to a device for protecting a passenger of a vehicle which includes curtain air bag (CAB) modules disposed at left and right sides of a roof panel inside the vehicle, a driver air bag (DAB) module disposed at a steering wheel inside the vehicle, and an eccentric impact preventing air bag module disposed to be unfolded toward an A-pillar disposed so as to divide a windshield glass disposed at a front side of the vehicle and side doors disposed at lateral sides of the vehicle, thereby effectively protects a driver seat passenger even when an unexpected front collision accident of a vehicle occurs.
