    Abstract: A pouch-type battery cell includes an electrode assembly configured such that positive electrode plates and negative electrode plates are repeatedly arranged to face each other with a separator interposed therebetween; an exterior pouch case configured to store the electrode assembly to be sealed; and electrode leads connected to a bundle of electrode tabs extending from the electrode assembly inside the exterior pouch case and protruding to the outside of the exterior pouch case. The electrode leads include a first electrode lead and a second electrode lead that face each other, extend in the same direction, and have the same polarity. A rupture sealing member is provided between the first electrode lead and the second electrode lead such that one side thereof is bonded to the first electrode lead and the other side is bonded to the second electrode lead.
