    Abstract: A plasma display panel that includes a first substrate and a second substrate facing each other, a plurality of address electrodes disposed on the first substrate, a plurality of display electrodes disposed on one side of the second substrate facing the first substrate in a direction crossing the address electrodes, and red, green, and blue phosphor layers disposed in a discharge space between the first and second substrates. The green phosphor layer includes a green phosphor and an inorganic pigment absorbing a wavelength of about 580 nm to about 640 nm. The plasma display panel includes a green phosphor layer having a reduced decay time and good color purity characteristics, as well as excellent luminance, discharge, and life-span characteristics.

    Abstract: Provided are a phosphor composition formed in a white discharge cell of a plasma display panel (PDP) and a PDP using the same. The PDP includes a first substrate and a second substrate facing the first substrate, a barrier rib disposed between the first substrate and second substrate to define a plurality of discharge cells, first discharge electrodes and second discharge electrodes disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, and a phosphor composition. The discharge cells includes red discharge cells, green discharge cells, blue discharge cells, and white discharge cells, and the phosphor composition is formed in the white discharge cells. One of the red discharge cells, one of the green discharge cells, one of the blue discharge cells, and one of the white discharge cells form a pixel. The composition ratio of each of the phosphors to another is different from each other.

    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a plasma display panel (PDP) and a PDP that includes a phosphor layer having a first phosphor and a second phosphor, wherein the first phosphor can be excited by a first radiation having a wavelength of 147±10 nm, a second radiation having a wavelength of 173±10 nm, and a third radiation having a wavelength within the first wavelength range, and the second phosphor has a maximum emission peak in the first wavelength range, and a method of manufacturing the PDP. These improve efficiency of green light emission in order to improve the image quality of a PDP.

    Abstract: Potable multimedia terminal which is small and consumes low power, can process a large quantity of multimedia data such as video and audio data. Portable multimedia data input/output processor can be made smaller by using a pen as an input device and can also process a large quantity of multimedia data at a high speed by adopting a PCI bus as a local bus of a system. To retrieve, compress, and decompress multimedia data, main components of this portable multimedia data input/output processor are comprised of audio codec for compressing and decompressing audio data, video codec controller for compressing and decompressing video data, and multimedia processor for transmitting audio data to wireless communication controller and video data to video codec controller and to graphic processor. The method for retrieving multimedia data includes steps of receiving data, de-interleaving received data into audio, video, and graphic data, decompressing the data, and outputting the data to output device.
