  • Publication number: 20080158119
Abstract: A liquid crystal display (LCD) apparatus includes an LCD section and a driving section. The driving section provides the LCD section with a compensated gradation datum based on a first gradation datum of an (n)-th frame, a second gradation datum of an (n+1)-th frame and a third gradation datum of an (n?1)-th frame. The driving section provides the LCD section with a sum total of a pre-tilt value that is varied in accordance with the gradation and the first gradation datum when the gradation of the second gradation datum is higher than that of the first gradation datum. The driving section provides the LCD section with the first gradation datum when a gradation of the second gradation datum is lower than that of the first gradation datum.

  • Publication number: 20080000420
Abstract: Disclosed are a shadow mask and a deposition device having the same. The deposition device includes a shadow mask that has a plurality of openings, a chamber that has the shadow mask therein, a deposition cell disposed on a lower portion of the chamber, in which the deposition cell contains deposition materials, and a blocking member interposed between an inner side of the chamber and an outer side of the shadow mask so as to prevent the deposition materials from passing through between the inner side of the chamber and the outer side of the shadow mask. Deposition materials sublimated from a deposition cell are prevented from passing through the shadow mask, except for the openings of the shadow mask, so that the inside of a chamber can be prevented from being contaminated, thereby improving workability of a thin film deposition device. Deposition materials attached to the inside of the chamber can be prevented from being separated from the chamber, so the deposition materials cannot serve as particles.

  • Publication number: 20060187399
Abstract: A method of forming a spacer for a liquid crystal display (LCD) device is disclosed. To form the spacer, an ink jet injection nozzle is aligned over a substrate on which unit pixels are arranged in a matrix. After aligning the nozzle, first dispensing spacers are dispensed from the injection nozzle with a certain gap so that at least one unit pixels is interposed between the spacers. Subsequently, the nozzle is moved and second dispensing spacers are dispensed by the nozzle at each of the unit pixels formed between the first spacers. This is repeated until the spacer is formed at all unit pixels. The spacer contains a ball spacer and a volatile liquid, which is vaporized during dispensing. The ink jet injection method prevents adjacent spacers from interfering with each other during formation.
