  • Patent number: 9393343
Abstract: The present invention relates to a monofilament suture and a preparation method thereof, more specifically, to a novel monofilament suture wherein two polymers having identical inherent properties are spun to have a cross-sectional structure of conjugated filaments, and said cross-section has interfaces between the spun polymers. The interfaces form a discontinuous cross-section along the radial direction and are distributed continuously along the fiber axis direction, thereby offering improved knot security and applicability to a variety of medical materials, and a preparation method thereof.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 23, 2005
Date of Patent: July 19, 2016
    Assignee: SAMYANG BIOPHARMACEUTICALS CORPORATION
    Inventors: Jung-Nam Im, Jeong-Kyung Kim, Tae-Hun Kim
  • Patent number: 8349306
Abstract: The present invention relates to an amphiphilic block copolymer of a hydrophilic block and a hydrophobic block with a terminal hydroxyl group wherein the terminal hydroxyl group of the hydrophobic bock is substituted with a tocopherol or cholesterol group. It also relates to polymeric compositions capable of forming stable micelles in an aqueous solution, comprising the amphiphilic block copolymer and a polylactic acid derivative wherein one or more ends of the polylactic acid are covalently bound to at least one carboxyl group.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 10, 2007
Date of Patent: January 8, 2013
    Assignee: Samyang Biopharmaceuticals Corporation
Inventors: Min Hyo Seo, Sa-Won Lee, Myung-Han Hyun, Jeong-Il Yu, Dong-Hoon Chang, Hye-Jeong Yoon, Jeong-Kyung Kim
  • Patent number: 7879317
Abstract: Polymeric compositions capable of forming stable micelles in an aqueous solution, comprising an amphiphilic block copolymer of a hydrophilic block and a hydrophobic block, and a polylactic acid derivative wherein one end of the polylactic acid is covalently bound to at least one carboxyl group. The carboxyl group of the polylactic acid derivative may be fixed with a di- or tri-valent metal ion, obtained by adding the di- or tri-valent metal ion to the polymeric composition.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 17, 2002
Date of Patent: February 1, 2011
    Assignee: Samyang Corporation
    Inventors: Min-Hyo Seo, Sa-Won Lee, Hee-Jo Kim, Jeong-Kyung Kim, Myung-Han Huyn, Jeong-il Yu, Bong-Oh Kim

  • Publication number: 20050226932
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition containing as an active ingredient, itraconazole. More particularly, the present invention relates to the pharmaceutical composition comprising itraconazole, a polylactic acid derivative, and an amphiphilic block copolymer. The polylactic acid derivative may be combined with a metal ion at the carboxylic acid terminal, and the amphiphilic block copolymer forms micelles or nano-particles in an aqueous medium.
