Abstract: A rising-alarm generating apparatus, medium, and method. The rising-alarm generating apparatus may include a sound collecting unit to collect peripheral sounds, a sleeping-sound extracting unit to extract a sleeping sound from the collected sounds, a signal converting unit to convert the extracted sleeping sound into a digital signal, a sleeping-sound comparing unit to compare the converted sleeping sound with a stored sleeping sound sample to check for similarities, an alarm-signal output unit to output a rising-alarm signal for waking the user, and an alarm-signal-output control unit to control the output of the alarm-signal output unit in accordance with the comparison result of the sleeping-sound comparing unit. As a result, it is possible to wake a user by monitoring the sleeping state of the user, and it is also possible to prevent snoring and sleep apnea.
